Illuminating Rose Gold Facial Serum Elixir with hydrating Aloe and Hyaluronic Acid for a light highlighting Primer - Natural makeup or no makeup look with dewy finish (2 oz.)

I've read a lot about this in Beauty Blogs and seen all the good reviews but I thought people were exaggerating how much more flawless it makes your makeup appear because I do a lot of DIY beauty and skincare and I make my own Hyralaunic Acid Serum and my own moisturizing Alloe Vera Serum (the 2 main ingredients in this) but after reading about this yet again on one of the beauty sites I trust most, I gave it a try. At first I thought $15 was a bit much but then I received the bottle.. It was much bigger than I pictured, it's made of a nice heavy duty glass, and I love the dropper that dispenses the product. I used it yesterday by itself... No CC Cream or foundation and I still loved the look it gave my skin.. Very subtle but beautiful glow and my skin looked smoother than it usually does. Today I used it before makeup and if I wasn't hooked before.. I am now! I waited for this to absorb but still applied my usual primer over top of it (Dr. Brandt No More Pores Illuminating). After applying a light coat of Aveeno CC cream, some Concealer and Pretty Vulgar Translucent Setting Powder, I was speechless when I looked in the mirror. The glow of the serum was still noticeable but at a perfect level.. It looked very natural and my skin looked much younger. Also, even though I don't have an issue with large pores or uneven texture... The finished look almost liked airbrushed. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to buy

I was originally concerned this would be too sparkly, but as someone with very fair skin it just adds a healthy glow. I love how it makes my skin fell. In the morning I smooth it all over my face and neck (2-3 drops) and let it dry before applying my foundation/moisturizer blend. (I prefer the lighter look I get from blending my moisturizer and foundation together before applying.) At night(2-3 drops) I apply it to my entire face, neck and even dab it under my eyes/crow's feet area then apply my night time moisturizer or I have also mixed it with my nighttime moisturizer and applied together. Both ways work for me.. Honestly it feels so good, it is hard to stop touching my face. On weekends/no work days just the serum is enough for a healthy glow. As I said, from other reviews I was worried about too much glitter or glow so this is perfect. I have been using this for 2 weeks but when it is time to re-order, I will probably do subscribe and save. This is a keeper, even for someone like me that is typically a low maintenance skin care person. My skin feels so good, I want to keep sing it. It is also quick and easy to apply with the eye dropper.

I really wanted to love this product, but wound up returning it. For reference, I have pale warm-toned skin that's somewhat oily. I don't like the look of typical "highlighting" powders and creams on my (aging) face, because no matter how little I apply they always too garish and unflattering. Yet I love the IDEA of them, in theory.So I though this serum might be perfect for me. And it does have a lot going for it! It's lightweight , non-sticky, non-oily, and a little goes a long way. Feels natural on the skin, and I love that the ingredients are clean and natural too, no synthetic fragrance (yay!) and no noticeable aroma either. It's not "moisturizing" exactly, more like very lightly hydrating.But the fun stops there. This left NO noticeable "glow" or tint on my skin, not even when I applied two generous layers. It's completely invisible, which was surprising since IN THE JAR it looks like an incredibly gorgeous and shimmery gilded apricot rose color! So disappointing that it doesn't impart even a wisp of that color or glow to the skin. I thought "maybe it IS visible, and I'm just not seeing it"... I found that hard to believe since I'm an artist and I have a keen eye for color and for the difference between a matte finish and a slightly reflective one... but I did an experiment. I slathered only my left cheek with two layers of the stuff, let it dry down a few minutes, then took my magnifying mirror into different types of lighting. Did I see ANY tiny bit of difference between my two cheeks? Yes, but not in terms of color at ALL, and in terms of "glow" there was only a NEARLY IMPERCEPTIBLE difference, a very few scattered micro-bits of flickering mica, even under 20x magnification!This product doesn't make my skin look any more "glowy" than a good coat of my regular moisturizer by ISOI, or any number of other moisturizers on the market. I get that it supposedly offers the skin special benefits and nutrients, but so do many other products (like gel moisturizers) that are just as light yet moisturize a lot better.So I consider this a redundant product for me. It didn't bring anything new to the party. And for the new year I really want to streamline my skincare / makeup routine and de-clutter my living spaces, so back it went.

I tried this serum because I wanted to take some extra care of my skin. I had been using the company's hyaluronic acid serum and been happy with it. When I was starting chemo, I had heard how pale and washed out my skin was likely to be, so I though this rosy glow would be a good thing.Unfortunately, I never got a rosy glow. I got red where I applied it. So I tried to apply it only where I would apply blush. And in a few days, my skin in those spots was red AND irritated. I had high hopes for this, but I was disappointed.
