Easy to install, works great.
Inexpensive and easy to install to ensure that the main utility breaker that feeds your panel cannot be on while the breaker to your generator is on. Comes with various safety and warning stickers that you can use in your panel. I found it easy to install and it works great. There's no way both breakers can be on at the same time

Safety first
It is important to understand how electricity works. A lot people do not. If you’ve gotten this far, you most likely know why this is a must have. This item gets the job done. Instructions may require a few read-throughs before you are ready to drill holes into your panel.Take your time. Understand exactly how this device operates before you drill any holes.

Make your generator legal to feed panel
Fairly easy to install and all the parts were there. Instructions could have been a little better and more designed to the actual application.

Worked well except for an additional internal interlock
This seemed to be a quality kit and it was easy to install; the template was correct for my Square-D QO box. My kit came with an additional piece that was supposed to install inside the box, behind the panel, to hold down the critical breaker, but that piece did not fit. That was Ok, as I don't see the need for it anyway! And it looks like the kit now no longer includes that piece anyway!

Must have to meet code
This kit is simple and easy to use. The added warning and caution ⚠️ labels are a plus. When connecting a generator to your home electrical panel, you need a safety interlock kit. There are lots of “DYI” videos out there to fabricate one, however I felt like this one would be safer to meet code. Even though my panel was installed inverted with main breaker at the bottom (new home construction, lack-luster electricians). It still fit well. This fits a Square D QO PANEL ONLY.

Great value and well made!
Kit contains everything you need (except the breaker and a drill of course). It also contains stickers to properly label the new breaker. I didn’t fully understand how these interlocks are installed when I ordered it but it wasn’t hard to figure out. On my box, it could only be installed in one particular location next to the main panel on/off switch and only on the left buss bar (on my panel, located at the bottom). So I had to remove two knock outs at the top of the panel and move the existing 240v breaker to that position. Obviously, that involves rerouting the wiring too. Then install the new generator breaker next to the main shutoff. Obviously, these instructions are not complete. I just want to give you a general idea what’s involved so you’ll know whether or not this a DIY project for you or if you will need a pro (never a bad idea!).
