Flexibility to use 18650 in 21700
I was only 18650 batteries for years but recently added some 21700 flashlights to my collection. These devices are an easy way to use my 18650 as emergency backup power for the 21700 devices and save me the need to double up on every 21700 purchase. So far so good I have 2.

Does not fit.
Do not waste your time and money on this product. It does not make an 18650 long enough to span the contacts for something that requires a 21700. First image is an 18650 in the adapter, the second is an actual 21700.
