Good but needed "1/8 Inch NPT Female Connector and 8mm Male Plug Fill Nipple Quick-Disconnect Set"
UPDATE: This product works well except for the fact that the connections do not rotate, so the angle of the tanks in relation to one another when connected may not be ideal, especially if filling with donor tank inverted. The only option is to try to rotate the smaller tank but this will twist the hose which is very stiff and pulls at the connections.I purchased a "1/8 Inch NPT Female Connector and 8mm Male Plug Fill Nipple Quick-Disconnect Set" on Amazon and added that to the end of the hose before it connects to the small 60L tank with gauge. This allows me to now connect and disconnect the hose there as well as rotate the 60L tank 360 degrees freely around the hose for ideal positioning. I noticed this added connector on another identical refill adapter for sale and wonder why it seems to be left off of this one as it seems rather necessary. We used a typical 20lb CO2 without siphon tube to be the donor tank. We froze the small tanks as recommended. Since C02 is a liquid, this product will only work with a normal C02 tank (without a siphon tube) if the donor tank is inverted upside down. This allows the liquid to flow downwards into the smaller tank. One of us held the donor tank upside down on the table and the other worked this adapter valve to fill the small tanks. If someone is not available to stabilize and keep the donor tank from falling over, then a stand that can hold the tank inverted would be required. The other option is to have a tank with a siphon tube inside. Such tank can fill other tanks while in the upright position due to the siphon tube bringing liquid C02 through the tube (like a drinking straw) and out to the other tank. I do not think a tank with a siphon tube can be used for anything other than filling other C02 tanks. It would have to be a dedicated donor tank and cannot be used with a keg or directly connected to soda machine as the siphon tube would prevent it from releasing gas in the typical manner. It took less than a minute to fill the SodaStream tanks. I opened the valve very, very slowly. i only needed to turn the valve about 30 degrees for optimal filling. We were able to fill the smaller tanks almost completely adding very close to the additional 14.5 ounces. The gauge has a range that is highlighted green that lets you know when the tank is full. I found that very helpful to know where we were in the filling process. The online videos and product video review here was very helpful in understanding how this filling adapter valve works.

Does not work
I am not sure what the problems are, but I have not been able to get this item to work. It is frustrating after spending almost $200 on a CO2 tank from my local brew shop. I open the valves and you hear the initial release of CO2 but it stops immediately. I have verified that the valve on the Sodastream tank is making contact. But there is no transfer from the big CO2 tank to the Sodastream tank. Be very careful

Works as intended!
Only filled 3 bottles with this so far but it has been flawless. Easy operation, no leaking, solid build.

Works as described
I’ve successfully used this to fill three cylinders. Freezing them in advance and following instructions are important. I don’t get anywhere near 400 grams and that is okay. I average 250 grams per fill. Remember this is highly pressurized gas, so be careful. This saves a lot of money and time since I don’t have to go to a store for a new cylinder.Having a plastic handle on the donor tank connector would be nice upgrade so I don’t need a wrench.

Great for Soda Stream refills
I used to pay about $15-18 for refills at a store that has refills, but with this adapter and a tank (I have 20 lb) the refills are so much more affordable (maybe $3-4 or so...I'm still calculating since I haven't used my whole tank yet, but a 20 lb tank of CO2 refill is $45 where I am). It's also really nice not to have to go to a store for a small gas can refill every two weeks or so.Two things I should mention: First, put the small Soda Stream gas can in the freezer before refilling. Second, read the directions and DON'T open the valves too quickly. There is a safety measure in most tanks, apparently, so if you open it too quickly, no gas will come out. Open it just enough so you can hear the gas flowing and let it fill for a minute or two.Buying a tank and adapter is an up-front cost that seems expensive, but it will save you lots of money in the future. The one caveat is that you need to have a gas supplier in your area for refills. If you can't seem to find one, look for something like "Oxygen Supply Company" in a search and they will likely also sell CO2.

Broke after two fills
Was great for the first two fills and now going back to use it it no longer works as the needle valve seal leaks. No clear support on how to repair this. Would NOT recommend.
