As described. Nice. Will work well.But it is wrapped in plastic though.I sure wish I did not need to feel awful about another piece of plastic (to wrap an actual piece of plastic!) did not go in the ocean because we did this one transaction.Thank you.

4 months since last purchased. Says what it does! I got myself a set of wusthof knives (6 inch chef knife and a 3 inch pairing knife) that sadly didn’t come with sleeves.Needed something to protect my knives and saw this. Does it’s job and keeps my knife blades safe.

I had other knife guards that were like a book cover with magnets to hold the cover to the blade. They had 2 problems: you had to pry it open with your thumb and fingers next to the blade to and the glue holding the magnets to the cover failed. With this guard, you can easily put the knife in and take it out with on hand on the guard and the other on the knife handle and there's no glue to fail.

These are nice because i keep all my knives in a drawer. I strop all of them until i can shave with them and when i need one i remove this edge guard and i can still shave with the knife. My knives have never touched anything else in the drawer because of this edge guard. It does what it is designed to do.

First time buying an edge guard, so take me about as seriously as you'd take anyone inexperienced in all things knife-y. This guard is okay. I wish it covered the entirety of the blade - I'm not sure if a different size would have helped due to the angle of the way the blade meets the handle. It's plain plastic, pretty thick and smooth. Easy to insert and remove the knife, holds pretty steady. I can't complain too much about the shape not being a perfect fit because I didn't consider that as a factor when I purchased it. If your knife blade connects to the handle at an angle, you may want to look for a different edge guard style.
