This one just might outlast the noble chef brand guards i already have.

I have several of these in different sizes for protecting my knives in my knife roll. They are amazing. Durable and thoughtful construction and easy to clean. No doubt they will last.

Good cover that stays where it belongs. I usually buy a larger size and then trim to fit the length of the knife.

One edge of this sheath is open. I'm used to sheaths only having the end open which is how I was sliding the knife into the sheath. However, I found out by cutting my thumb while sliding the knife into the sheath from the end that the sheath was open on one side. I ended up with a significant cut. I had to mark it on my own which side was open and which side was not. There are no instructions or information included with the sheath packaging.

Nothing particularly fancy but it works exactly as intended. Great way to store my bigger kitchen knives in a drawer with all my cooking spoons and spatulas, since my counter space is limited.

I am very fortunate that I have a friend who is a professional knife sharpener. He has several thousand dollars worth or equipment and knows what is is doing. I brought 4 or 5 knives to him for the Holidays. After he sharpened them he said "where are the Sheaths? I said I didn't have any.. He said " that is why they are dull ". He was right of course. but I didn't realize that just keeping my knives in a drawer would dull them. But if you think about it makes perfect sense. You are going through your gadget drawer looking for your favorite Spatula and your moving and banging everything around until you find you Spatula.. Well, that is one of the ways that your knives to get dull. I bought the Slicer and 8" Chef knife Sheath as My friend was sharpening my knives. The sheaths arrived the next day ( LOVE PRIME) and they fit perfectly on my knives. Now I can clank in my drawer as usual and not worry about dulling my knives.. If you understand that the most dangerous knife you own is a Dull one then get these Sheaths there inexpensive and worth the investment...

I own several of this brand's knife guards - great products - sturdy, matte finish black plastic material. This order, product material was different - a transparent bronze color but the corner appeared to be snapped off, jagged edge. I returned the first one and reported as damaged and different material, even though there were no broken pieces in the package. Replacement was promptly sent BUT replacement also had the jagged corner, appeared snapped off and was the same transparent bronze color. Not worth the time and effort to return again, but I prefer original matte black version so probably will not order this brand again.
