I accidentally cut through an RJ45 CCTV cable, rather than re-install a new cable I decided to use this connector box to join the cut cable. Worked perfectly and PTZ CCTV camera back up working in no time.

Very straightforward method to allow the connection of two different cables. Normally I would just make a longer cable, but as I was needing go from a rigid exernal cable to a more flexible cable, this was an acceptable compromise.Both A and B terminations and clearly labelled. The guides are solid and can withstand the most over eager push tool user. The blades make good contact and errors due to not making contact are minimised.

great product saved me a lot of time and money fitted it 2 years ago and still doing its job

Have used these on a few installs to get me out of a jam. These are pretty simple little units but they seem to be of a decent quality overall.

Struggle to cut through the plastic on the cat 5e so showed errors after initial double punchdown. May work better on Cat6 or 7?

The information/advertising on this item is misleading. All pictures clearly show 2 joiner boxes, however you will only get 1 joiner box when ordering this item! (Buried further down in the info it states "Item package quantity :1" - which again could mean two joiners in 1 package)I think this is deliberately misleading and hence poor value for money!

I'm sure there is a technique to using this but I never found it. It ended up in the bin.

I bought these from Amazon for quick delivery, but you literally pay 2-3 times the value of anywhere else. The product works, does what it says, but if you have time look around, plenty of basic electrical counters sell these around a pound fifty each!
