Have used this several times to check the compression on an outboard engine. Before we blew the motor, the compression was 90-95 across 4 cylinders. After we blew the engine, the bad cylinder read 25 PSI. It was able to tell us our motor was done. Once a cylinder was tested the reading did not leak down but held steady pressure. We did not have any issues with fitment or stripping connectors. Easy to use.

Purchased this item, which I plan on sending it back, as it is defective. First, the fitting was not correct, but I worked around that. Then when I used it, when I set the regulator to the "0" setting on the R/H gauge, the compressor L/H gauge dropped to 29 psi, not the proper setting to do a leak down test. Leak down tests need to be at a 60 - 100 psi pressure to the cylinder.. Thus, I could not do a proper test when I connected the line to the cylinder adapter line at 29 psi. When I set the regulator pressure side to 60 pounds, the R/H gauge said the cylinders were bad before I even connected it.
