Best so far
Tried a lot of Saturn and Genesis HDMI adapters and all others compare to this one.. Picture quality is bright and crip when using it for the Saturn. However, I could not get the RGB mode to work with the Genesis model 2. The company is aleays updating the firmware so hopefully they will fix it. All modes worked great on the original Genesis.. The only major flaw is the price. While cheaper than other upscalers is over priced at 87.00. But, this is the best you are going to get at this price point. All other upscalers look terrible compared to this one.

Can play my Sega Genesis with hdmi
Worked great. The only issue is the Genesis colors were off a little compared to actual av cable on a flat screen. We have a tube tv and is a small price to pay for an hdmi upgrade.

Works just as well as my Retrotink 5x at one tenth the cost
Use this on one of my Neo Geo consolized MVS systems and it looks just as good as my other one which is hooked to a Retrotink 5x. I use the green light setting. Amazing value.

Bad built product
The media could not be loaded. Bad, bought 2 of this. First came with defect show the image and suddenly disappears. The second one is working better, but now you barely touch the thing and no image again. Please see the video! Also I notice that both were kind of open box, maybe they send the others costumers return to me?

The media could not be loaded. Obviously, this is just a line doubler. It will give you a 480p signal. It comes withcord adapters for all of the consoles that it supports, however, those cord adapters do not fit very well together. They're definitely a tight fit. These style of connectors can cause you to weaken or break the solder joints inside of your console. The device does get quite warm, but I haven't managed to get it hot enough to be concerned or have it cut out on me.This is quite a noisy device. The kind of noose you'd expect from cheat, thin, non-shielded cables. On solid colors, there are OBVIOUS horizontal lines which are very noticeable in the three RGB modes, and less noticeable on the three composite modes. Updating the firmware made absolutely no difference for me, nor did changing power supplies or HDMI cables. It's definitely the device. This leads me to believe that you really don't want to use just this device by itself. I'm planning on pairing it up with a Mersaille device and an OSSC as they can filter out this noise quite well. The colors were originally kind of dull, and the brightness was quite low as well. You can use the firmware update program to adjust the color setting, but it has its own issues. When you change your color settings (which are not explained in the manual at all), you click the "save" button, then "close" which is supposed to disconnect the device, then click the red "X" to close the program. If you do that, it won't save your settings and will sometimes change them to something else entirely. Skip the "close" button and just hit the red "X" then open the program again and see if your settings stayed. Some values seem to have limits, and if you exceed them, they'll go back to default, so you just have to play around with them to find the sweet spot. There are three "filter options" at the bottom of the firmware update program, but adjusting them seems to do absolutely nothing for me and I haven't been able to find any information on what they're supposed to do.It's not an expensive device and it does what it says it does. Overall, I would recommend reinforcing your solder joints on your consoles before using this device and adjusting the settings on the device itself. Even then, you should still expect noise, and plan on adding other devices to it to help clean the signal up.

Best solution for Sega Saturn without spending a fortune!
Absolutely over the moon with this product. I was previously using the Hyperkin HDMI cable, which was acceptable. I didn't want to spend the kind of money a Retrotink 5X costs, and the RADX2 is on backorder. Then I found this, with the exact same features (plus more with the ability to tweak the settings) and decided to give it a shot. Very glad I did, HUGE improvement over the Hyperkin! And the smoothing mode is fantastic, really makes the Saturn shine on HDTV's. And it works like a dream when combined with the mClassic! It may be a little pricey (twice the cost of the Hyperkin), but easily worth every penny if you want to run your Sega Saturn on a HDTV. I would imagine it's just as good with all the other consoles it works with.

Works great in composite mode but the rgb mode is far to bright on my model 2 sega genesis
This adapter is a vast improvement over any TVs native composite input it properly handles the 240p image from the sega genesis and looks good. However I do have one semi major issue with it, the composite mode looks fine (aside from the noise and lower image quality of composite not the adapters fault) but when using the rgb mode the image quality is vastly clearer than the composite mode however image is way too bright. I’ve read that sega genesis rgb cables are supposed to have a 75 ohm resistor in them to bring the brightness down to normal and this cable apparently lacks that. I know this cable is muti system but I imagine they could have/ should have included a cable for the sega genesis that has that resistor in place so the colors aren’t overly bright and washed out especially for the $70 price this costs. I have only tried it on a sega genesis model 2 (as that’s all I currently own) so I can’t confirm if it’s still too bright on a model 1, 32x or any other supported systems. If you are wanting this adapter to get rgb out of your sega genesis I’d look elsewhere unless you are ok with the image being too bright in the rgb mode.
