I was told to purchase Silicone Scar tape by my surgeon to help my surgery scars become lighter and was told it didn't matter what brand or where. I checked the OTC at pharmacy and grocery stores, and then this brand. This brand of Silicone Scar Tape had more in it, and being the right width, was a much better price point purchase.It has perforations to easily tear the length you need, but you also have the ability to cut it to size. Save the backing for when you take the tape off to rinse it so that you can place the tape back on it and then reuse it.My surgery was the end of January. I began using it (and some vitamin E oil at night) once the scars had completely healed and had the go ahead by the surgeon - about 12 weeks. I used it faithfully. Most of the time, just wore during the day and at night used vitamin E. ON weekends, I wore 24/7. IN 6 months, my scars had faded so that they looked about a year old or older. Now, a full year from using, my scars have faded so much that they are not very noticeable. The doctors can tell I've used it and are pleased with how the scars look.I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to minimize or fade their scars.

I was super skeptical but it is working really well. Along with the healing process, my scar is becoming completely flat and less visible day by day. Definitely prefer this over scar cream. Its easy to apply and lasts a good amount of time without being removed on its own. This thickness is equivalent to a bandaid. As my scar is getting smaller, I am able to cut the tape to ideal size. Great product

I had rotator cuff surgery. I used these scar sheets for about 8hrs a day and so far they are really working. The scars have gone from a purple color to light pink and one that had gotten puffy is starting to go back down. I would definitely recommend this product. I have started to use this on older scars but it is taking a little longer to see results. But there is signs of improvement.

I’m actually using these on my face for wrinkles and other anti-aging efforts! They’re really soft and flexible, I can sleep in them, no problem!

It takes time but it definitely works

I heard so much about this tape from dermatologists online, so I wanted to see if it would work on old and new scars. I have melanated and sensitive skin, and traditional band-aids cause further damage. I wanted to see if it would treat old scars as well as prevent marks forming from new scars. After two weeks, I can say that this silicone scar tape does heal old scars very well. Moreover, you can cut the tape to your desired shape and length. However, the downside is that you have to finesse the tape off the hard plastic lining and ensure it stays put, so wherever you have a cut, don't apply lotion or oils, or the tape will be on your blanket or pillowcase. I tried to clean and reapply the tape, but the tape lost it's stickiness, so consider this a one-time use tape. Thought it does a great job with old scars, it doesn't do a great job with new scars. In fact, I had a recent scar darken in color due to the tape, yet another scar heal without any discoloration. So if you have melanated skin, understand that there is a 50/50 chance of your scars appearing darker. I will say that the upside for me is that the scar tape did slightly match my skintone, so I could wear it outside if needed. Overall, the tape is kind to my sensitive skin and covers scars, but is iffy on the healing aspect, since the product does not prevent discoloration. I'm going to use up the package. Hopefully, things change.
