I was on 25 mg a day of HCTZ without too much effect. I bought this dandelion leaf capsule and dropped 6 pounds of water in 3 days. That, my friends, is 3 full quarts. The first day I had to get up 3 times during the night. I can feel and see the difference all over my body.Update: down 8 pounds since starting this product, nearly a gallon of fluid lost. Hydrochlorothiazide was doing very little for the swelling.Update 2: 6/3/23 -Now down 12 pounds, all fluid. Have not changed my eating habits at all. I can actually see the tendons in my feet! I have a small amount of foot and leg swelling at the end of the day, but I am 200% better. There have been no side effects.

I started eating clean and went thru a detox. One of the things on my daily detox was to drink the dandelion tea. The first time I did the detox (3 years ago), I drank the tea, which was absolutely horrible! I decided to go with the capsules. WOW.....why did I not do this the first time. Such a great substitute! I would highly recommend.One thing to note.....The first couple of days that I started taking this, I was a little cloudy. Once my system got used to it, I was fine and didn't notice anything wonky. Just wanted to throw that out there ;-)

Eclectic Institute is one of very few brands that makes a dandelion leaf supplement. There's a difference between the root and the leaf, so make sure you do some research before choosing one or the other. The vast majority of products out there are made up of the root. My better half has been using this specific product for a while and feels like it works and is a high quality product.

We had a pug who was dying of congestive heart failure. He had begun to have problems getting rid of the excess water in his system. The dandelion leaf worked very well at ridding him of excess water and helping to dehydrate him so he could breathe better at night and on hot days. It did its job and worked very well.

I use this as a natural diuretic and it seems to work well. It's a bit stronger than parsley capsules. I don't have high BP but have read this may help lower it.
