Good Product
Originally bought for holiday use, but I had to bring it out after our Home Broadband was cut off for a week by the Gas company digging up the place..With the right unlimited SIM, this connects seamlessly to my MESH system ...I stress the right SIM, check your location for the best coverage!Excellent coverage, fast speed and came in very handy ...It just impressed me enough, that I might actually just pay for a SIM based service after my contract broadband finishes.. it'll work out cheaper!Really easy to set up, once you activate the SIM with your provider..The unlocked unit is roughly about 8 inches square, weighing nothing, so you could put it in the suitcase for UK holidays, if you wanted to..

Excellent router.
Excellent router for my needs. Needed to set the APN setting in the router management. Very pleased with the performance a speeds. Saving money over fibre broadband costs too. A win win.

Worked out of the box
I bought this to stream Internet via 4g while waiting for fibre to be connected. I put in an EE based data sim, did some minimal fiddling with the easy to access control panel and lo and behold it connected. Gives me 3 bars out of 5 in a relatively poor signal area.A couple of points. First, after pretty much any tinkering with the settings it reverts to 'no Internet '. There's a button to click in the settings to select 'Internet' and get it streaming. Why it should be selectable beats me. Second, there's a panel on the bottom at the back with an indication that it can be removed. But if you do it breaks and reveals an unwired battery box. This is why I have given it 4 stars, but otherwise a great piece of kit.

As a tech guy, this is really good!
Im moving into my first place and wanted WIFI, i brought this and the smarty sim together as a bundle , registered, paid £20 for unlimited data, put the sim card in, plugged the router to power and of we went! i have only three bar signals but Netflix, my phone and work laptop are working absolutely fine. im probably just going to keep this as i don't need a landline , I'm actually getting faster speeds then my parents super fast broadband from sky. easy to set up following instructions, its worked perfectly!

zero support - poor signal
I bought this for a holiday home in the Folkstone area. I was told by the neighbours that broadband was very bad and google searches from the various suppliers informed me (based on my postcode) that the best I could get was 2mb download. As my mobile seemed to be working fine with a decent signal I thought I'd give this a go. Bought a brand new sim from ID Mobile which works off the Three network. ID and Three reported a good wifi signal for the area. Unpacked and installed with the new sim and I hardly got any signal at all. Tried various places in the house including on an outside window ledge. The signal varied from 0-1 bar on the display. The idea was for me to connec this directly to a smart tv using the RJ45 cable supplied. No chance whatsoever to get anything out of this router.I removed the ID sim from the router and put it in my mobile and I got a pretty good signal. 4 bars. Placed in back in the router and back to 0-1 bar. by the window in the same area. I tried emailing Smart support with pictures and a full explanation over a week ago but no reply yet. It looks like their support is as slow as their router. I am going down to Folkstone this weekend again to do a few more tests. If it does not work I will be returning through Amazon. Extremely disappointed. Calling it a Strong router does not help either as when you are goggling it you get all sorts of unrelated results.

Just the job
Ok these are great if you're using a SIM card for your internet needs.I was using a EE pocket WiFi router. There are big advantages with this unit as I have been able to connect my computers and printer together. The WPS button is great for quick setups. There's plenty of adjustments available to configure the router.I get really good signal to all my devices.I'm really happy with it as it's doing everything I need.I Recommend it great price

Not really good enough !
I had to return this as it did not live up to expectations. I don't normally post negative reviews but this router is really not ready for market. The first design error is using an old style SIM card clip which is makes it difficult to insert or change the SIM card. Why is it not a SIM slot like all other routers? I managed to get it to work once but on swapping in and out different cards it then failed to recognise any card! Whilst it did work the user control panel was buggy suggesting poor software. The network APN configuration barely worked even with manual configuration.By contrast, I have now replaced the Strong device with a Tenda LTE router. This is how it should be done! A pop in SIM slot and a superb responsive configuration panel with more features than you are likely to need. It detects and configures the APN automatically for any SIM I have tried from Three UK and a French operator Free. The Strong brand will have to up their game if they are to be in any way competitive.

Works as it should but not the fastest
This router is decent and works fine, it is only 4g though and I feel I could not get the full speed potential from my 5g SIM card when using this, It has worked for me while having no WiFi in the process of moving homes and I am still able to use my phone as normal but the pc and consoles still get access to all games online ect but can be laggy and I would personally limit it to two devices when using any type of console or pc if you want good connection, I think you would be ok to get a few phones connected as they do not require as much data/speed. The speed is not the fastest but it works for now so I would recommend for limited use, this also is plug in only so it's only portable when plugging into walls, there is no battery to just walk anywhere with it which would be better.
