Significant downsides but still has no Equal
I bought this talking watch because I personally thought the voice was alot clearer than the the others on the market. The woman says the time quite crisply I've always been able to tell what time she said some talking watches you have to listed to the time multiple times because of the terrible low quality recording and speaker. It let's you setup pill reminders which is nice but there's only a few different voice line options and most are repetitive. It's still a useful feature to be able to set alarms. There's no volume setting which is slightly annoying. I mean it's loud enough but it would be nice if it really went high. That's a problem alot of these watches have though. The watch instructions say but the first thing you need to do is download the app and follow the instructions there. It's only a few button presses and then the watch automatically sets the right time, after you've set the time and alarms you no longer require Bluetooth and everything is saved to the watch ( a very big positive). The watch face is better than the pictures in my opinion, the metal bezel looks nice unfortunately its surrounded by a cheap plastic frame. The watch doesn't scream premium. Alot of talking watches don't have inspired designs though and this one's functionality puts it ahead of the competition. Only 2 buttons too so nice and simple. It comes with an extra battery and promises to be Replaceable which is good. I am worried about how long that software will be supported though. In 10 years if there's no app how will you set the time? And on the inside of the watch I spotted a small amount of corrosion. QA should investigate. So then you might think I'd give a negative review, those are substantial points, the watch looks cheap and the software requirement makes it a potential brick in the future. But I still think the trades off are worth it here, you get the clearest voice of any talking watch, and an alarm system, it automatically sets the time (and is reset in app) and can setup alarms for pills, ect. These are functions that other talking watches don't have, and also at a similar price of 39.99 (at the time). So for the kind of person who needs one of these (elderly, people with alzimers, sight impaired) this watch is actually very good and ticks off the boxes on what they need vs their competition. The alarm setting alone actually puts this watch leagues above it's competitors. And so you need a talking watch I'd recommend this one.

It Works!
Brilliant watch. Easy to use once set up (Everything is done via a phone app) and off you go. Tells the time not only with hands but also by pressing a button that then says the time out loud. Press again and it tells you day and date. Great for when you wake up in the middle of the night and dont want to wake your partner by turning on the light to see the time. You can also set alarms (again via the app) to remind you to take your meds etc. Customer service is good and responsive tooOnly 2 down sides; You cant increase the voice volume, and the ANNOYING american voice that is used for the announcements. Would have been nice to have option to choose voice a la sat navs. Apart from those 2 niggles buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Perfect!
I got this for my Dad - and it's absolutely perfect for him! It's more for the date (you have to press the button three times to get time, date and then month and year) but it's a great product. Not too loud as to startle, pleasant speaking voice and volume. Looks nice too! Plus I can update or change it within minutes of connecting it to my phone. Simple wee app, uncomplicated. I was impressed with the welcome email and the speedy response with a query. Couldn't recommend this high enough!!

Works as advertised
Great idea and very handy reasonable choice of talking messages. And they work well enough -take your pills ,time to drink water, time to wake up,time to sleep and take a nap.No time to eat option but time to drink water is an ok substitute.

Great Watch
I am very impressed with the after care service you get and they are willing to answer any problems you have. The main drawbacks I have is that Bluetooth connectivity is very hit and miss especially when changing from GMT to BST. Half way through it disconnects and you have to get phone to forget watch and go through search process which is hard if you are blind. The other thing is the buttons are very sensitive and when you brush something like a sleeve or putting on a coat it will announce the time. I would certainly recommend this watch to other people. The watch face is uncluttered and figures are clear.

An Affordable Watch for Alarms and Talking Reminders
This watch was ordered to help me keep track of time is daily scheduling. It was fairly easy to set up with my Android smart phone. You do need a phone with Bluetooth capability and download the 5 Senses app to use this watch.Comments about my experience with the 5 Senses Watch:It is easy to read in normal lighting. A nice addition would have been for both the watch hands and numerals to glow in the dark so in dim lighting you can still see the time.I like that there is a selection of messages you can set to hear at the time you designate. I would have liked to have had other choices that were not related to sleep, water, or medication. There is no feature to record your own message. This watch came with a battery and also a spare battery in the package. The battery in the watch was at about 50% according to the app. I like that it came with an additional battery. The back is attached with screws so replacing the battery requires a micro screwdriver to open it. You may want to take this watch to a jeweler to replace the battery if you either don't have the tool or the close up vision to make the switch. This watch states it assists the hearing impaired. It is loud enough to where you can hear it across a small room BUT it is not loud enough for those who are severely hearing impaired. If you have minor hearing loss, It may be loud enough. If someone has to stand next to you and yell in your ear for you to hear them....you will not hear this watch. If you are looking for a watch that functions like an I iWatch you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a simple watch that gives some basic assistance with time/tasks with audio reminders...it works fine.I gave this product 5 stars because it works at a basic level as described. The price point is also reasonable for the functions it provides. =D

Ideal for the visually impaired or people who prefer spoken reminders for a few tasks to be healthy
It’s not a fancy or expensive-looking watch: the case and cover are plastic. The bezel is stainless steel, while the black strap is genuine leather. The analog display is plain with big, easy-to-read numbers.Linking it to your phone via Bluetooth can be cumbersome. After downloading the FiveSenses app, it took a few attempts before it paired to my iPhone (iOS 16.0). It takes a while for the watch to sync with the correct time on the phone as it’s just the second hand that moves automatically to set it to the right time. The app is not too complex. When connected to the watch, it provides information about its battery health and connectivity, while the icons at the bottom lead you where to set the alarms/reminders (Settings), battery replacement notes, and other details about the product. The watch needs this BT connection to set the alarms and voice reminders or make changes. You can’t add or modify the set of reminders on the app. More often than not, I always find the wireless icon on the app not connected to the watch, even when both are just feet apart.Don’t be surprised if you find yourself pushing the watch’s lower button from time to time --- to sync it with/connect to the phone’s app.The good news is that the clock functions and all the alarms/voice reminders you made will work even when not connected to the app via BT – as long as the watch’s battery remains good. Push the top button (in succession) to tell you the time, day, and date. The volume is not adjustable on the watch or the app. It is loud enough, but you might have to place it next to your ear when it’s noisy inside or outside the house. It’s also not waterproof because of the tiny speaker ports on both sides of the watch’s back/case cover. Not too sure how long the battery would last with daily use -- synched or unsynced to the phone via Bluetooth. The set includes a spare CR2032 battery, a tool (the same as one used for ejecting a SIM card), and a handy (with pictures) manual.Since most smartphones these days have all these features, including voice notifications, this ‘talking watch’ may be unnecessary. But it is an inexpensive watch/audible reminder for the visually impaired or people who need to be reminded of a few daily activities to keep them healthy.

It does not work
The watch I received does not work. I tried to communicate with the seller but there is no message box or other communication channel to communicate with them. The problem could be just a fabrication error, thus, I was willing to write a comment on the replacement. But, there is not replacement option offered. There is only a return offer.

Great concept! Limited usefulness due to complexity
The media could not be loaded. Advertised as: New improved watch over prior version, app controlled, “2G”, large dial numbers, designed for the blind, visually impaired and elderly with up to 15 separate alarms and the ability to add voice reminders to the alarms. Watch is set/programmed via an app installed on a phone or tablet.First Impression: Attractive watch, not overly large with easily readable dialFunction: The watch can “talk” providing the time with one push, the date and day of the week with a second push and the month/year with a third push. It can also be programmed with up to 15 separate alarms using the app. Though it’s designed for the elderly, another group that potentially could benefit from a talking watch is autistic children and adults. Many autistic individuals prefer a very predictable schedule as it lessens their stress level. Transitioning between activities can be difficult and the Five Senses Watch with its daily reminders could provide stability/predictability and provide parents and teachers a valuable management tool.Concerns: The write up for the watch states that alarms can be a “chime” sound or can include a corresponding voice reminder that is set via the phone app. Unfortunately, what the ad doesn’t make clear is that you are limited to 5 “pre-programmed “messages that announce: “nap time”, “sleep time, “wake up”, “drink water” or “take pills”. Reading the ad, I had assumed custom messages could be created but I was wrong. That feature would have been very useful. I had difficulty keeping the watch sync’d with my phone. The directions state if that happens, close and reopen the app and/or press the lower right button on the watch to resync with Bluetooth. I followed those directions but it still took a number of tries to reconnect. The watch operates independently of a tablet/phone and the app is only used to set and sync the alarms so the sync problem wasn’t a deal breaker. The watch voice is a little tinny and individuals with hearing or cognitive issues may not understand the message when an alarm is activated. Once a voice alarm begins, the message, (i.e. “time to wake up”) repeats over and over until the wearer pushes on the crown button to stop it. Battery life appears to be limited likely due to the energy needed to “talk” and my watch decreased to approximately 60% after several tests. Also, when initially setting the time, the watch arms will automatically spin until the right time is reached and that may take several minutes. A spare battery is included with the watch and the directions claim it is easy for a user to replace the battery. The ability to recharge the watch daily would have been preferred over purchasing and changing batteries.Final thoughts: As a therapist, I look for products that will serve physically and cognitively challenged individuals. Due to the complexity of this watch, elderly users will need finger dexterity and the cognitive acuity to understand how to operate use it, especially if they can't see it well. A caregiver is needed to be in charge of installing and operating the app in order to set reminders for the intended user. The watch is not advised for individuals who will require assistance to turn off the alarm/reminders. Batteries will need changed on a regular basis but at least the process is user friendly. The group of people that will find this watch useful is somewhat limited. I hope there will be additional improvements as the watch has great potential!

Great Technology If Only The Watch Worked
One can appreciate all the technology and all the advertised features this watch can do. However, I would think that the elderly or older aged folks just might have issues following along with all the feature options and sequencing processes of pushing correct buttons to get this watch to do the things it is meant to do. My personal issue besides the cheap plastic makings of the outside of the watch (the watch description does say plastic watch casing) is this watch just did not work from the get-go.The watch is chunky in looks and the plastic build makes for a very strange and light feeling watch when wearing. I do not like the requirements to always keep the watch near my phone for proper synchronizing. I also do not like the idea of placing the watch upside down close to a window to enable the watch to do certain required things per instructions.I followed the directions as provided, I watched the video that also goes into detail for waking and setting the watch. I deleted the app then reinstalled the app three separate times but still had no success in getting this watch to wake up.After a couple of hours of trying to get the watch to work I gave up after I attempted to replace the battery (which the app indicates battery was dead) only to find the screws on the back of the watch are so tiny I would need to take this watch to a jeweler who has the proper tools to gain access the battery to test and/or replace.I am confident that the watch does work under perfect conditions! However, from my experience the watch does not work so I will not be recommending this watch.I have no desires to take any more additional time or resources to try and make this watch wake up and work as advertised. This review is solely my opinion based on my experience. Others may find effective use of and be happy with this watch and I respect their findings as well.
