Petkin SPF15 Sunscreen Spray, White, 120 ml (Pack of 1)

My French bulldog is black and white, his nose is very pink and burns easily in the sun, he can also burn on his belly & butt. More surprisingly when it is very sunny he can burn through his coat on his back, you can see his skin is very pink the following day. He loves lying in the sun so this product it great to protect his skin.People suncream contains zinc, which is highly toxic to dogs, so please buy dog safe suncream like this.The smell is so nice, it’s really coconutty. When I get the bottle out my dog gets very excited, we use coconut oil to keep his nose/feet/coat in good condition also, so he obviously loves the coconut smell.I will spray it on my hands to apply to his face, then spray directly onto his body and rub that in too. He will lick his nose a little bit but not enough to take it off.Sometimes I will forget to put it on or not realise how strong the sun is and he will start to get pink, so I put it on as soon as possible.As with people suncream, reapply after a couple of hours or if your dog plays in water & make sure that shade and water are available.Great product, really does work, also the smell is unbelievably good.

I have a small white dog with a middle part so his pink skin is exposed. I was told he could benefit with some sunscreen on high UV days when he is on a walk or in the garden for a long period. This spray is easy to use, and it sprays on white but it does not stay that way. It will last a while and i know my little guy is protected from uv!

I use this on my white dog as advised by the vet. However, she does not like the noise of the spray so we prefer to spray directly onto our palms and then apply to dog. This works very well and smells beautiful. Have also tried the wipes which are fine. Did order the sun block but unfortunately our dog decided to take matters into her own hands and ate it before we could apply it. Will stick to the spray.

Great item for white dogs

I have been asked to review this product and I'm not sure what to say. My dog was suffering from the canine 'itchy' problem and had just finished medication which had totally cleared for the first time ever (5 years). It was a hot sunny day and I sprayed it on to the bare skin on her tummy. Later in the evening I took her on a walk which involved walking on grass which, though not long, may have brushed her skin. By bedtime she was brilliant red all over her underside and scratching like mad. I can't say it was caused by Petkin Sunmist but I would advise anyone using it in the above circumstances, to have a trial spray on a day without sun, to see if there is any reaction. Only then will you know if your dog tolerates it. In conclusion, it seems to be pleasant to use, is absorbed into the skin and smells good as well.

Weird thing to say about sun cream for dogs, but this actually smells so nice, love spraying on my puppy, know he’s protected from the sun but also smells nice. Will buy again when runs out as easy to apply and the puppy doesn’t mind it too much
