Read this review, happy with it.
So surprised by this lovely DAB+ and FM portable radio. I bought it because its made by Roberts who are reliable and have good quality stuff. Good value. Great to use, can use the AC Adapter posted with the box and they include instructions too. You can use batteries if you want to take it outside. It has 3 presets for DAB and 3 presets for FM. The reception is surprisingly good on FM too, but it must depend on where you are of course. Functions well for me. Buttons are nice and easy to use. Overall, a contented customer and what do you expect from ROBERTS!

Well made, sturdy, small radio. Good to move from room to room. Sound good for size especially on DAB.

Good all Round DAB radio
Purchased this Roberts DAB to replace an old DAB radio. I chose the matt black version with the silver dials/buttons, but what attracted me to this radio was access to FM as well as the digital channels. The radio has a pleasant light blue LCD display with a brief description of the channels on it. The aerial extends to approximately 40cm and I found I could get a good reception almost anywhere in the house. The sound quality is good for its size. The radio when first turned on auto-tunes itself to all DAB / FM channels local to you, which is most helpful. There are 3 push button channels (favourites) that can be programmed with your most use radio stations. Changing radio stations is easy via the big chrome dial alphabetically. Before the radio arrived, I download the user guide (some 23 pages) from under the headings “Product guides and documents” below the radio’s description. The radio comes with the same instructions. I would advise you read the instructions.Having read the reviews, I noted they seem to suggest it used up batteries fairly quickly. So I thought I may have to purchase an ac adapter, but mine came with a power lead. If yours does not, you can purchase 5V power supply adaptor which is compatible with the Roberts radio made by Myvolts also from amazon.Overall, this radio is of good quality and easy to listen to.

Don't let the Amazon delivery driver throw it over an 8 foot wall onto a hard surface.
This is a good product. However, Amazon's delivery driver let us down very badly. My wife has multiple sclerosis and cannot get to the front door very quickly. The delivery driver rang the bell and it took my wife a minute to reach the door, by which time the driver had gone down our drive and thrown the package over the 8 foot high wall garden wall into the back garden. It had been raining. The item had clearly bounced off the back door and onto the stone step, in a puddle. The secod item that was delivered with the radio was on the block paving. My wife caught the driver as he came back up the drive and asked if he would give her the packages. He spoke very poor English, but managed to tell my wife that he couldn't get the back gate open. Unsurprisingly that was because it was locked, which is how I know he had to have thrown the packages over. When I tested the radio the tuning dial just would not work. I suspect it suffered sufficient G-force shock to damage it. I am returning the item for a refund. I will buy it from Currys so that I can be sure that it is in working order.I tried to make a complaint by email but unfortunately that does not appear to be possible on Amazon anymore. Hence this review. However, I actually selected the item in a Currys store and then bought it on Amazon, so I am able to say that the pduct is very good and deserves a 5-star review.

Good little radio
Very happy with the purchase and particularly since using rechargeable batteries which although they stop when exhausted, as one would expect, they seem to last longer than ordinary batteries.

Showing its age now.
I bought this older model in 2016, & have been satisfied with it up til now. However, as per the title, I now would no longer buy this older model. This was fine when DAB+ stations started, but increasingly this model is showing a capacity ceiling with the number of stations it can store. I live just outside the M25 near London. There are all 3 national networks available, plus all 3 London local networks & the Herts/Beds/Bucks local network. Now when I rescan it will “miss” one of the networks. If I tune the missing one manually it then “loses” one of the others. When you consider there is also a community network about to launch as well, if anything I shall be looking for a replacement shortly. For guidance the capacity of this older model appears to be around 150 stations. Any more than that in your area don’t buy it.
