Blackout Curtain Linings Pair Thermal 3 Pass Insulated *Includes Curtain Hooks* (66" x 72")

I have bought these several times, which I guess is a good indicator of how good they are.The hooks supplied this time are much better than before.The instructions and pictures actually confuse but once you get the hang of it, hanging the blackout curtain to the original curtain isn't anything to get hung up about!The instructions miss a simple but vital point at the beginning...so....The insides of both the BLACKOUT and the ORIGINAL curtain face each other.The hook starts on the BLACKOUT curtain travelling in an UPWARD direction. Seems logical and it is.The hook then goes into the ORIGINAL curtain in a downward direction.This doesn't look tidy at the start because there is a lot of gathered material by the hook. Chill...you just have to settle the ORIGINAL curtain into the hook (so called 'locking it in place') and then uncurl the BLACKOUT curtain which then sits very neatly flat against the other curtain. That's it!I only found out how to do this properly on my fourth pair of curtains so I thought I'd share this tip as the curtains are very good.

I regularly work nights and so have to sleep during the day on those weeks. I got these blackout curtains to help enable me to sleep during the daytime.They are very good at blocking out most of the light, except at the top of the curtain pole, which I suppose is not really the curtains fault itself. It would be nice though if there could be a flap strip all along the top of the curtains, so that once fully drawn out, it could be lifted up behind the curtain pole to make it blackout the light coming through there, but I think I'd need to pattent that idea myself, as I've not seen any such thing on the market as of yet.The other area where light comes through, is on the sides of the curtains, but that could just be due to how my own curtain pole is set up, slightly away from the wall, due to a wooden beam the landlord has fixed the curtain pole to. Possibly, if this weren't the case, my initial issue with light coming through the top would not be a problem either?The length is slightly longer than my curtains by about 1.5", although they are the same size and these blackout curtains are said to be slightly shorter to avoid them sticking out from under the original curtains, but I supposed if I actually cared I could sew them up. I'm just sharing this info in case someone else does care about this.The assembly to the original curtains requires a bit of fiddling/saintly-patience/benzodiazepines, but is do-able.They are not heavy, but not light either, so they drap well. I've had them for over a month now, and have no issues apart from what I have mentioned.

Works amazing at keeping out draft and light. Easy to install. Top for hooks and bottom can be used instead if wanting to put a pole or those old fashioned string and hook screw set (don’t know what they’re called). Great buy!

I bought these curtain liners to help keep the heat in my living room over the winter. The curtains were already thick crushed velvet. I closed the curtains before dark in the winter and only needed to use the central heating twice all winter. Instead of leaving curtains open and letting everyone look into your room, you could save a lot of energy by closing the curtains at night and even more by using these curtain linings.I also fitted blackout curtains in my bedroom because the street lights cause the room never to be too light at night and a security light over the road shone directly at my window when on. Problem solved with blackout curtains.

I wish that I had got these years ago. When the curtains are closed, the room is pitch black. The linings are also very effective at keeping heat out of the room, which means that I now have a cool, totally dark bedroom and can actually get a decent night's sleep.

Great curtains - i didnt want to replace my curtains so this seemed an ideal solution not only are they excellent blackout but do help with cold draughts too. Really easy to put up. Well worth the money instead of buying new curtainsSo impressed bought for 2 other rooms
