Great upgrade over the old one!!
I bought this to replace a old Roomba style vacuum based off the other reviews I had very little faith in the mapping ability of the robot. But boy was I wrong this little guy maps great and actually uses a logical path when he cleans making it quick and thorough. The advanced setting that this robot offers in the app lets you map more than one floor of your house. And when the robots placed on that floor it's self-locates and begins cleaning based off the map that was made for that floor. A lot of people in the reviews seem to have trouble with the mapping process, but overall it was very easy. You just charge the robot up. Set it down and start a smart cleaning cycle. I would recommend watching it while it starts the process because it goes around the outer edge of the room. So if you have low profile furniture or furniture with bars it can hop over that and get stuck. But when it does the initial cleaning you can set virtual boundaries to stop it from going into these places, but you have to kind of be watching it while it's doing its initial mapping to catch it. The virtual boundaries can also be added later after the initial cleaning cycle and the map has been created. Overall I'm very happy with this robot. If I had a bigger house I would be buying more of them. My only critique would be that the mopping attachment doesn't seem to be the most effective. It does pick up stuff but I wish it agitated or you know did something other than just drag them mopping pad behind it.

Laser sensor failed after 6 months. Dead.
When it was working I loved it!ConsAfter 6 months of actually flawless running it started to give me a "LDS sensor" warning and refused to work. This is the Laser Distance Sensor which sits at top and spins. I searched online and tried all the different recommendations to try and fix it, including cleaning the sensor multiple times or just tapping the sensor as the app told me to do. this was able to make it works sporadically but maybe only 20% of the time. But now nothing makes it work anymore and it’s just dead in the water.ProsExcellent features at the price compared to other bots. It builds a map so it intelligently navigates and knows when it's finished vacuuming. So instead of just running until battery almost dead, it will only run long enough to complete the job. Which for my room was just 30min. Compared to older dumb bots this should help battery longevity significantly. The map is also customizable so you can set virtual boundaries (very useful when I had my Christmas tree up) and also track vacuuming progress in real time which is cool.It cleaned well, and the dust bin is easy to empty and clean out. Based battery usage after 30 minutes seems like it could run for at least two hours nonstop. But all of this is pointless if the machine is just gonna break down and die after six months 😥.

Finally the perfect robovac!
OMG! I thought I would never ever find the perfect (or the almost perfect) robotic vacuum after so many years and so many trial and errors, I have finally found "The One!"PROS: It is super quietthe battery lasts foreverthe mopping actually works!the mopping pad itself is the perfect size and the perfect material easy to cleanThe dustbin is easy to clean and remove all of the dustOverall design is just brilliantheavy enough to where it's not going to get stuck on everything and I just feel like I have finally hit the jackpot.Strong suction it literally picks up everything the first swoop aroundCONS:The voice is a little loud I'm going to see if I can't change that in the app.

It works, but too distracting to a Nerd!
This is easy to set up and ultimately does it's job.BE WARNED. It is fascinating to watch. It's SUPPOSED to be a time saver doing work so you don't have to. What actually happens is that you watch it, working out it's algorithms to figure out where to go in the most efficient manner. Also the App shows the rooms and the path cleaned....Then you follow it around helping it when it gets stuck! You do have to prep an area first. Light rugs get eaten and power cords etc have to be picked up prior to use or it will get tangled in those and pull things off desks. However, once you figure out what she needs (she is a with a girl's voice) then its s great device. Picks up a disturbing account of crap....I like it (her)

Won't connect to Ecovacs own app.
I researched this product extensively before deciding on this brand and model of Robot vacuum and mop combo unit. After several weeks of research, I decided to purchase this unit. So you will know, I am not a technically inept person. I have several internet-connected devices around my home which include several Amazon Echo devices multiple Ring doorbells, a fire stick 4K, Xbox, you get the idea. I was very excited to finally get the ecobot as it took longer than normal to ship. I received this unit 2 days ago and I already can't tell you how many after work hours I've spent tru in my to get this thing to connect to their app and my wifi. I have also made several calls to their support, several emails, and have tried setting this up with 3 different smartphones. NOTHING HAS WORKED. I've never had a product have so many issues trying to hook up to my wifi. This is ridiculous. I was finally told last night they would escalate my issue and someone would call me. Instead today I get another email from the same person, asking who's my internet provider, and a whole list of other questions. I've already given her the pertinent info regarding my phone brand and operating software version, my router brand, etc. I've tried both Android and iPhones. I'm ready to ship this expensive non-smart robot vacuum and start my research all over. Oh, and she tells me no one else is having issues. That's a lie. Just Google Deebot Osmo connection issues...Wish I'd thought to look into that as well before I ordered this one.
