KingavonBB-RT380 20-LED Rechargeable Emergency Sensor Light

Brought this in case of power cuts and also as a security light in the evening.

Simple plug in units, induction charging.The plug in units are quite chunky so may get in the way if you have usb mains sockets.The detector works well. Light output is bright,Time will tell how long they last, bought 2, and if the batteries last.

I purchased this light 3 months ago and it is still working fine but this is my second unit, the charger on the first failed after about 2 years continuous use. I have now however been able to repair the original charger in which 3 components had failed, a 400V .22UF capacitor, a 2K4 resistor and the transistor type 13001. It's a very basic charging circuit and the parts are all low cost items that are readily available. Be aware though that the 13001 transistor comes in 2 versions, one version has the outer (base & emitter) wires reversed so this needs to be checked before installation. Also be constantly aware of the DANGER of HIGH VOLTAGE when working on this charger. When powered from the 240V AC mains 340V DC is generated in the charging circuit.

Love these sensor lights so handy plugged into landings and hallway. When you pass automatically come on and then times go off (never a need to switch lights on after dark)If there is a power cut they automatically come on and handy having the torch so can be mobile.I’ve had mine for years so did notice huge price increase but needed to replace and same excellent quality.

Good value for money

I have had this sort of light before, and you can turn off the sensor. So in a powercut it comes on and stays on - usefull as a nightlight as well. But this this unit will come on in a powercut then go off again in about 20 secs unless it detects movement, which is not much use if you are in the dark and too far away for it to sense you!! Am trying to return it, but not sure it will be accepted as had to destroy the packaging in order to open it, fingers crossed i can get my money back.

We saw this in an Airbnb. Extremely useful safety device st night. It's a plug in nightlight and a torch. A very clever idea, great quality and excellent value. Love it.
