Accurate cutting, easy to use
After purchasing several cheaper paper cutters/trimmers and wasting time, paper and money due to poor/inaccurate cuts, decided to spend a bit more on this one. My only regret is not buying this one sooner... I'd have saved a fair bit of money!!! Fantastic quality, easy to use and very accurate. It's very easy to see exactly where your cuts will be. 100% recommended.

Poor for Fiskars
I felt I really did my homework watching lots of videos and reading reviews and settled on this trimmer above all other. How disappointed was I? I picked the model with the metal bar to ensure straight cuts - it worked for that but that is about all I can say that was positive! Having seen video reviews the first thing I did was remove the score tool to ensure it would cut right to the top and bottom. I put standard copier paper in and it ran smoothly up the bar cutting with no effort BUT when I looked at the cut edge it was really fibrous - like I'd torn the paper along a ruler rather than cut it with a trimmer. I rotated it and cut across - just the same. (see photo!) I tried some 120gsm paper which cuts like a dream on my old trimmer - just the same. I tried some Designer Paper (inherited so not sure what GSM but definitely paper not card) and it wouldn't even cut without me feeling I was forcing it which I wasn't prepared to do. The metal bar is great - way better than the guide wire model I once tried at a friend's and cut a wonky line! However, the cut is worse than my 20 year old rotary trimmer. I really wanted a trimmer that cuts an aperture from a piece of paper but sadly it will not be this one! I will keep hunting... it has gone straight back.

game-changer
This paper cutter is a game-changer for any crafter. I got one for my friend, and it makes clean cuts effortless, saving them time and frustration on their projects.

Great trimmer although there is a but...
When the trimmer I had had for many years finally broke I cried a lot then searched for ages for a good replacement!! The first replacement I bought (not a fiskars product) had a nice sharp cut but I couldn't see exactly where the cut was going to be and I wasn't convinced it was cutting straight. I read every review going but found it extremely difficult as the reviews seemed so conflicting. I finally chose this one because above all I wanted accurate and precise cutting and I wanted to be able to see exactly where the cut was going to be made. This trimmer has a mark at the top which shows you where the cutting will take place and I find that it cuts straight and exactly where I want the cut to be. It is capable of cutting quite thin strips off which is very useful to me as a scrapbooker often dealing with photographs which need trimming. The ruler is also extremely useful as I am often using 12 inch paper. The score tool was an additional bonus which I have found very handy when making flap pages for mini-albums. So all-in-all I am very happy with this trimmer although there is a BUT... The blades do not seem to last very long at all and I was horrified to find that instead of getting a clean cut I was left with a terrible jagged edge after only about a month. They cost around £3.50 each but the costs are going to mount up if I keep having to replace them so quickly. So I am sticking with this trimmer for now but am going to see how many blades I get through in a year.

Poor
I bought this in 2021 for cutting and scoring card to make cards. At first it worked well but after just a short while it wasn't cutting cleanly. I bought some new blades but it didnt take long for these to blunt as well. Now the scorer will not score. I make just a few cards for family and friends so I would have expected to be able to use this a lot longer. Not worth the money and the new blades are not cheap.

Great Product
My only regret is waiting so long to buy this. I use it almost every day and it has made my cardmaking so much easier. Simple to use and very accurate

Cuts 2 sheets 80gsm cuts 0 300gsm card.
I bought this expecting to be able to cut and score card because it cuts up to 5 sheets of paper (most is 80gsm so the maths worked out) so should have managed 300gsm card with ease. Nope. It does not cut or score 300gsm card. A complete waste of money for what I needed so will not be buying again. It's now on my shelves collecting dust. Don't get me wrong it cuts 80-100gsm paper really well but as I flick between card/paper I can't be swapping machines all the time.Make the blade longer for the love of god and this will be a great machine. Actually get one of us card makers to do a real life test and iron out the tweaks and then you'll be the market leader. There are few and far between both cut/score machines here in the UK so I let my excitement get the better of me! Dissapointment always makes me sad!

I like it
I bought this trimmer because of the rigid alu rail and the fact that you can do interrupted cuts, rotary trimmers can't. First thing you will need to do is to take the scoring slider off. Second thing, you will have to get used to where the cut line is going to be made, beacuse the blade cuts along the edge of the aluminium rail. If you want to do some serious project, buy some spare blades. They don't last very long (e.g. 400 cuts of 300gsm paper and then it won't cut that clean). Overall this product does great job and won't disappoint you.
