As a mom to two young kids, I wanted to have something on had to release some of the anxiety I have with choking. I can not say whether or not the item works as I have not had to use it. But from other reviews and videos that I have seen it was something I decided we were better off having on hand than not having on hand.

This was bought for our son and his family. I hope they never have to use it. I gave 5 stars because it came in on time. I like the fact that if it does get used they give free replacement parts. I also like the fact that there are different sizes of masks for babies to adults.

Great and necessary for every household

I am concerned that of all the reviews I read, none of them indicate any level of expertise or training for the people who have bought this device. It states clearly - “ for professionals only.” The prime directive for physicians is - “first, do no harm.” I have never actually used this device, but after 30 years working as an emergency physician, I know how difficult obstructed airways can be. I also know the desperation you feel when nothing seems to be working. Therefore, I bought this device as a last resort to use out of hospital when the Heimlich and compressions/back blows are not working. This is not a toy, nor is it a magic solution. You really, really need to know what you are doing in order to use this device, which is why it says professionals only. Even then, just having MD after your name doesn’t guarantee that you are able to use this device. If you buy this, make sure you know what you are doing, or get some training to get that knowledge. Do no harm!
