Zigbee controller, works great with HA & ZHA
I'm using this with Home Assistant using ZHA, which is running inside VMWare. It was easy to setup and my zigbee devices have connected to it easily.

Great for HA - upgrade the firmware
It will work with Home Assistant, but with the latest update it won't. Look the model online and upgrade the firmware of the device to the latest and it will work for you too.

Important note about Home Assistant on a virtual device!
If you're running Home Assistant on VMware or VirtualBox or some other virtualization software, be sure to set up a USB passthrough for this device and MAKE SURE IT'S SET FOR USB 3.0 AND NOT 2.0! Setting it to 2.0 will cause your HA server to crash when you attempt to add the dongle.Other than that little detail which I had to go digging to discover, it's run perfectly. Using it to control some zigbee buttons via Home Assistant and haven't had any problems. Coverage extends the length of our entire house (about 30 feet in either direction). Solid little aluminum unit. Not bad for ~$30 USD.

these work very well
these work well and if you re-flash them to be router mesh points they also work very well with good range.no complaints other than you cannot turn off the internal leds even tho under home assistant the firmware exports a setting that you can turn off the lights.
