I have a combi sewing/embroidery machine with a 4x4 hoop that I use for small gifts and items for children. I feel that the cost of top brand threads is disproportionately expensive for a small side hobby but have been stung in the past by the very cheap threads (on cardboard inner rolls) that shred and break in the machine.These threads initially looked too good to be true but I saw that they were being sold by some reputable UK machine sellers and took confidence from this. I bought the 40 set because it has all that I need for my current projects and I am very pleased with the quality and sheen. So far so good I have done a few test samples at different speeds and density of stitching and there have been no thread breakges so far.The 20 thread nets that come as a free extra can be cut in half and kept permanently on the 40 cones to prevent tangling. The sample bobbin thread was also very welcome to get started. All in all a great buy so far.

used these simthread threads with my brother threads and to be honest you would not know the difference in texture, only downside is some of the unusual colours are slightly off by a shade or two; price compared to other thread manufacturers is amazing and so far not one thread break out of the 40 colour box and I have used all but 3 spools so far. So if like me you are new to embroidery and are shocked by the price of thread give Simthread a go you will not be disappointed - and you also receive 1 black and 1 white bobbin prethreaded and some stablizer and a colour chart with brother colours.

I have bought these threads YET AGAIN. Work fabulously on my Brother 750e and my Brother F440e Embroidery Machines - absolutely think these threads are brilliant, no breakages, no shredding, beautiful quality, Brother colour (exact) match card in your box along with some bobbins. Really high quality, use these threads all the time. I am definitely going to buy the full 63 set soon, as I have already purchased the 40 set TWICE now and don't regret it. These are the threads that I use nearly all the time now, keep going back to them. I no longer use Guttermann threads as they snapped and shredded on my two machines.

A good selection of quality thread with a lovely sheen. I have used them on my Brother Innovis XV machine and Innovis V3 embroidery machine and they stitched out perfectly. Quality is better than expected. The mini cones are a tad on the small side, but I was able to use them in horizontal mode. They are better suited to using on a thread stand in my opinion. Good value and recommended.

When my box arrived I was happy to find that along with the ordered threads there was a few very useful extras! Two prewound bobbins in black and white, some thread nets and a colour chart.The threads are of a very good quality, strong and brightly coloured. I have sewn several designs and never had a single break in my threads.I would not hesitate to reccommend these threads or the company that supplied and manufcturer them.Can't wait to try out some of the other products particularly the variagated version!

I'm an absolutely beginner in the field of machine embroidery and these threads are lovely, very pretty colours, they have a lovely shine to them, I did read reviews of them being poor quality and shredding, but I have not found that to be the case, they have stitched beautifully and on my very first project I had absolutely no breakages, I would definitely buy them again and highly recommend them. Hi I thought you might like to see the very first embroidery I have done using these threads, they came out beautifully, very pleased with the results.

Thread went well in my Brother machine and pleased with stitching results - however, they state it follows Brother colour chart, several were way off! So I have ended up going to Brother direct and buying in the correct colours. I wish I had bought direct and paid more initially as I am embroidering dogs onto badges and correct colour is important, if you are doing flowers or just general embroidery then it may not matter so much and the thread did work well in my machine

I was sceptical given the low price but the colours are lovely, the texture great and so far I’ve had no thread breakages which I do get with both expensive and cheap threads alike usually. I’d definitely recommend these threads to anyone wanting to try machine embroidery, they’re cheap enough to be able to practice with and yet look stunning enough to use on projects too. I found them great for quilting too.
