STRICTLY BEDS&BUNKS Oscar High Sleeper Loft Bunk Bed, 3ft Single

Well from ordering and being told delivery would be around a week for delivery, we were blown away when it turned up after only a couple of days which was great! We opened the boxes which were packed well and opened the instructions.Biggest advice is to read the instructions, so we started with a cuppa and read through the whole instructions manual before starting. You definitely need 2 people to build, and it took us approx 4 hours with a small break to complete. Overall it wasn’t the worst flat pack we’ve ever built the instructions were thorough, but a few places they weren’t 100% clear (the part about the glue and also where to screw the rail guard as the image didn’t actually show this). But we watched the YouTube videos available to help where we needed to and we finally got there in the end. I have to say it’s worth every Penny, it’s incredibly sturdy and a great size for that slight extra height under the bed so our son can watch his tv and play in comparison to some of the small cabin beds we’d looked at. Only thing I would say is don’t kid yourself by not reading the instructions, they’re lengthy but for good reason follow them and you’ll have no trouble. Only issues we did have was the Allen key didn’t really withstand so luckily we had a better one at home and you’ll also need a flat head and Phillips screwdriver or electric drill ideally if you want to save your hands, which we didn’t have and probably accounts for the extra time it took to build. Overall fantastic purchase especially while on offer to. We have one very happy little boy and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from this company.

Easy to build, but time consuming, and looks great and is sturdy once put up

Very happy with this bed. A friend recommended it, we now have 2 and they are very sturdy unlike many other similarly priced beds on the market. No creaking or wobbling. Good space underneath. One child has toy storage and play space, the other has made a reading den. The instructions take a while to decipher, I recommend patience and choose a time you’re not in rush :-)) sit down, read them thoroughly, they eventually start to make sense. And the actual assembly took no time at all. My husband put one together in an hour with just a bit of help from me.

Quite difficult to put together but worth getting, nice look and sturdy

This is truly an excellent sturdy bed. I have bought 2 different beds from this company and both are lovely. Both of my daughters love their beds and they have a hiding space underneath for their TV’s and games consoles. Perfect!

I would love to give this higher as once assembled it seems nice and sturdy but there are a few issues. The instructions are absolutely awful, it's very hard to distinguish in some of the pictures which screws to use, as in one picture it was a completely different screw so we had to look through the rest to work out which screw we should use. We've also noticed once assembled that the sides/frame /base (where the mattress sits and where the slats are attached) is actually at an angle and slanted, it would appear the holes are at different heights in the main frame. Hopefully this does not have an effect on the sturdiness. We've also noticed that the top rail is quite wobbly due to the way you have to attach it to the rest of the frame so we will have to see how that holds up.

Easy to follow instructions led to a good end result. The only criticism would be the quality of the Allen key which only lasted 2 screws.

We recently bought this bed after contacting Strictly Beds about another of their products and they recommended this bed for our requirements. We received both email and written confirmation of delivery date etc. The delivery driver rang the night before to confirm delivery and again on the actual day. The bed is very sturdy and exactly as described in the product details. The main support posts are one of the reasons we bought it as we wanted a bed to last our son into adulthood and not be too high. It was reasonably straight forward to put together. It looks brilliant and is strong enough to accommodate adults. Well worth the money we are extremely happy with it, and our son loves it. Would definitely recommend this company to others. Brilliant product and excellent customer service.
