Wolf II No nonsense knife for the real world
No nonsense knife . I purchased this knife as a general purpose and camping knife. I wanted a quality blade, that would hold an edge but was rugged enough for hard use .Ultimately ,It’s just a great deal on a D2 full tang knife! Also produced in Germany !Came nicely packaged, knife itself ( I got black on black) is a good looking design.D2 steel blade came sharp enough to cut paper. And judging from the bald spot on my arm …. Shave hair lol.Appreciate the jumping and nice flat edge for starting fires, nicely balanced , size is big enough to do some tough jobs and hacking, small enough to not be obnoxiousHandle is grippy , nothing fancy but seems durable, good shape, and texture , fits the hand well.Sheath seems adequate, locks in secure , multiple position clipIf you don’t want to have to worry about your 300$ knife getting dirty , wet , dropped or lost …but still want a quality tool , this is a good knife to consider.

Great knife
Bought this blade for the bug out bag and was not disappointed. This knife if light weight, balanced, and well made. It looks great and came sharp but could be a little sharper. It feels solid in the hand and can be used for anything you need

Durable for a bit.
After 2.5 years and multiple uses the tip broke off about half an inch using the knife as a field antenna. Unfortunate, but a great knife.

Awesome!
The blade is awesome! It was the first knife that I bought from Amazon that actually came razor sharp and can shave hair. The knife is also the best design for getting a spark from a used ferro rod. Because of the ridges on the spine you’re always able to get a spark. Even 1095 steel with a sharp 90 degree spine struggles with used ferro rods. But the Odenwolf is a champion who can guarantee a spark every time. It’s better than 1095 also because it won’t rust on you. I have a PKS wildcat that I spent $150 on and it rusted and didn’t have good edge retention either. 440c has good edge retention and good corrosion resistance. The sheath is real secure and it is not bulky like other sheaths and fits perfectly in my pocket. It’s my new everyday carry.

Compact, solid, functional knife
With an overall length of 9.6 inches, this knife is a smidge undersized for do-it-all camp work, but I like it nonetheless. Why? Excellent steel (if it’s really 440C), a tough and seemingly durable TPE handle, full tang construction, well balanced, lightweight but strong, an unobtrusive but eminently usable lanyard hole, stylish blade, nifty sheath, versatile attachment mechanism, and a well-chosen color combo are among positive attributes that spring to mind. The knife’s marginal size is manifest most notably in its handle. The grip is decidedly slim, and somewhat short. Men with small-to-medium hands will likely find sufficient room for all their digits, but men with massive mitts may find the grip space lacking, so to speak, possibly leaving the pinky hanging off the end. I’m guessing that most females, with their somewhat smaller hands, will find the grip surface area very much to their liking. The TPE grip material seems to be thermobonded to the tang and it seems solid.I like the provided sheath. Even though it’s plastic, it’s thick and tough and grips the knife securely with an audible click (or thunk) when the knife locks in place. The knife rides securely and silently once inserted into the sheath.Attaching the sheath to a belt or pack strap is the job of an included clamping device. I don’t know this device’s proper name, but it’s ingenious and highly versatile, enabling belt carry in either vertical or horizontal orientation while opening up a variety of attachment opportunities re pack belts, straps etc.In summary, I have not yet had the opportunity to field test this knife in order to see how it, and especially its blade, stand up to hard use. My expectation is that it will do fine. Do fine, that is, assuming it really is made of 440C steel.
