Like the flexibility with the design, banana plugs or just speaker wire on both sides
Like the design of the product. Either side of the wall unit can take banana plugs or can also be wired directly with the speaker wire (no banana plug). So that's was an added bonus for me as well. Only recommendation is not to screw the base into your electrical box super tight, otherwise it might be recessed a bit when you install the cover on top of it. This is only cosmetic but if you are like me, and want things to be flushed, the base does not need to be super tight.

Great product well made
The media could not be loaded. This was very simple to install and came with the screws needed to complete the install. I had no problem installing them in a single gang electrical box and the twist connection banana post ensured there will be a tight connection on the speaker wire.

Works well. Good value.
Needed to clean up the speaker wire mess behind our TV stand and amplifier. I used this item install a speaker wire plate into the wall and then put banana plugs on the speaker wires. This item looks and works exactly as the pictures show. I was able to attach all the wires to the back of this plate and attached the plate to the wall receptacle. Now looks very finished and professional. One note would be that the backing is plastic and not super sturdy. You'll need to screw it securely into the wall plate to keep it from moving around and looking cheap. Otherwise, it works well and my game room has surround sound audio as intended.

GREAT QUALITY and PRICE!
I got this unit to install connections for a second pair of speakers. Previously I went to one of the box stores and bought a plate and two pairs of speaker binding posts and assembled everything together (I was in a rush and didn't want to buy online). Truth is - my first installation looks great - took a bit of time to put the pieces together, and cost me about $15. Yeah....a huge difference between this Monoprice unit and the "put it together collection" that I got from the box store. When I decided to install a second set I went to Amazon and bought this unit and I can honestly say that this is one quality item! Contrary to the negative review that says this doesn't fit into a standard electrical box - IT DOES! For my installation I picked up a standard plastic electrical box and attached it - then slid wires in through the back of that and connected the wires to the binding posts. The unit comes in two pieces - the inner piece that contains the binding posts and an outer plate. Once you make the connection on the back side of the binding posts you secure that piece to the electrical box. Then you fit the cover over that and attach the cover using the smaller color-matched screws. This unit gives you options both inside and out for different wire connections - you can use spades, direct wire or banana plugs. Inside the box I just used the direct wire to binding post connection and tightened. I briefly considered using spades but I was lazy! Anyway, everything went together quickly, smoothly, and with no issues at all. It looks very professional and very clean - every bit as good as my first installation - but at 1/3 the price.I highly recommend this unit and this vendor. In fact I have bookmarked Monoprice for futire purchases.

Love these but for a different use
I'm a DIY audio guy and rather than mounting them on a wall I use them as terminals ( binding posts ) on open baffle speakers. If you check the price of quality binding posts you'll see what a bargain these are. Both sides accept bare wire or banana plugs making for a secure connection. I would post a picture but my files are too large.

Excellent product
This speaker connection wall plate is an excellent, well-made product (as always from Monoprice). Both the plastic plate and the plastic molding for the binders are thick and solid. However, I made a couple of adjustments to better fit my needs. The wall plate arrived with two red binding posts on the long edge, and the two black on the opposite long edge. My preference is to have the two red binding posts on top (short edge), and the two black on the bottom. This makes it much easier to simply look at the plate to determine left or right polarity. It was easy enough to readjust the binding posts from the backside using a 13mm (1/2") wrench.I also turned the binding posts so that the wire opening is at a downward 45-degree angle. By default, the wires would come straight out the sides at a 90-degree angle. Changing the openings to a downward angle places less pressure on the wire connections, looks better, and it makes wire management inside the electrical box easier.Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

It took me a while but they are standard and I am an idiot.
I was a little weary when one of the other posters said that these weren't a standard size. I had just remodeled a movie room and was anxious to test it out so I ordered in the hopes I didn't make a mistake. They arrived and looked good. Exactly what I wanted. But then I went to install them. Damn!! The holes didn't line up. No worries because my boxes are made out of plastic. I just angled the screws to hit the openings and "made it work".I was still frustrated though because I like to do things the right way and I knew the way I was fastening them wasn't correct. It is a 2 piece design and you are supplied with 4 screws (2 long, 2 short). I made the assumption that you need 2 of the 4 screws provided depending on how far back your box is in the wall. So as I am about to install my last wall plate, I looked hard at the pieces and the extra screws lying on the floor and realized what an idiot I am.You use all 4 screws installing the wall plate. First connect the wires to the back of the posts. Second, using the small length screws - fasten the main piece to the border plate. Third, secure the entire assembled piece to the box in the wall.
