It works, if you need to connect your smart TV or your Xbox or playstation or any electronic device with out the use of a extender unit, this is the way to go. It uses the house hold electrical wiring system to transmit the signals from the WIFI UNIT back to the electronic device that then reinterpret the signals into making your Xbox or Smat TV or your playstation go or any other electronic devices that can be plugged into the WIFI unit. You have in fact directly plugged in your electronic unit into the WIFI SYSTEM so no risk of loss of signal "The rotating circle" unless you're supplier starts to tinker with the system down the line , telling you that they are bringing improvements ! . Setting up is easy press the connection button on top of the unit then watch as they talk to each other then you get a all three green light and you are good to go.Make sure your house hold wiring is up to standard "there's no break in the upstairs main ring and the down stairs main ring" and everything is earthed otherwise the units won't be able to transmit their signals from the wifi to the unit in other parts of the house, and it will not work with extension cables it must be plugged into the main outlet according to were you have your electronic device. I had a set of adaptors like these years ago for my PS3 and they worked brilliant. Much like the older versions this product works great and is easy to install and it’s plug in and play/work.They are great value for the price and I can game on my PS4 with a stable and fast connection. I live in a 1930’s property so I was worried about the power lines not being good enough to hold a connection.... not s problem at all!Of course a wired connection directly to your router will always be superior however I have no issues with it so far.The only issue I would say about the product is there isn’t any info as to whether having them plugged into wall sockets is a more stable connection than power adaptors. I’ve tried both and can’t see any noticeable difference but it would be nice to know (maybe for future product releases)

Already have two PL1200 in use and they work very well, but needed to add another device. Despite the PL1000 supposedly being backwards compatable I have not as yet been able to add them to the network. They work as a pair so there is nothing wrong with them but if I cannot get them to work with the PL1200 I will return them.Ok, so this is an update: Having spent some time working on this I finally got the PL1000 and PL1200 to work together – GREAT!...No. I got a good speed (Speedtest) with the PL1000 and the PL1200 in their respective pairs of 67mps (that’s a drop from 75mps when wired direct to the router). However mix them and the speed dropped to 15mps (and yes I know there too many households with far less than that, sorry). Factor in a VPN and it becomes even slower.To get them to work together basically all I did was take all the units and plug them into a socket (that didn’t involve grovelling around on the floor) to perform a factory reset. Then I plugged one into the router and the matching unit into a nearby socket and waited a bit for it to link up. Note: the middle light only shows when it is plugged into a device. Then I plugged the remaining units into the same socket and waited for them to link up. After that I plugged them into the sockets where they were needed and they all connected again. Sometimes the bottom light started off red but they eventually all turned green.…So after much arm twisting by a family member I ordered another set of PL1000, only this time from Amazon Warehouse, thereby getting them for a really good price, which helped take the sting out of having to replace the PL1200 (which worked perfectly well on their own). I set up the four PL1000 using the sequence above and I now have three wired connections giving me a good speeds in the region of 67mps in different areas of the house. Really disappointed that Netgear make you buy a complete new set leaving the old set surplice to requirements. Not very environmentally friendly! Hope this helps.

They work great, minimal setup. Get the occasional dropout, but much better than the Devolo setup I had before.

This product works really well. I used to have a lot of internet issues as my PC would struggle to connect to the wifi, but this device sorted the problem.A friend of mine reccomended me this product and I am really happy with how it works.The product comes with 2 ethernet cables which is really useful as it spared me from buying them separtely.It is also very easy to use as you just need to plug them in and press one button.

Rubbish! They keep going into some kind of sleep mode, I have my CCTV running through them and can never see anything when I need to check alerts, going back to my old TP-Link plugins that are 6 years old but are still more reliable than these.

After frequently frustrating WiFi issues between my router and work laptop over the last year, I was recommended to get this. It came with two cables so just connected one directly into the router and then into a plug, then the other was a bit short to reach my laptop from where it sits on my desk but had a longer cable to hand so used that for the second plug and now have a great connection! No more signal dropping in and out and disconnecting, but a steady and reliable connection - wish I knew about these sooner!!
