Exactly what I wanted, fantastic value for money and lovely quality! As a student of illustration focusing on pen and ink these are perfect!

This is a really good set for the price. The finer nibs are a little scratchy, but that's fairly normal. All correct as listed, no burs, and all in working order; you do have to remove the factory coating, though, or they're awful to use (I just dipped them in 40 proof whiskey, then rinsed them off and dried them on a piece of kitchen roll - there are lots of different methods of removing this protective film, use any, but it has to be done before the nibs will work properly). They're fine to use with or without the reservoir, just don't hold as much ink if used without (this is far more noticeable on wider nibs).The pen is nicely balanced, a good size, and holds the nib well (anyone who claims the nibs fall out was obviously fitting the nibs into the centre of the holder instead of the outer edge; there are videos on youtube showing in detail how to fit a nib into this type of holder).My only criticism is that the case lid is so tight that I have to be careful not to drop the case when opening it, or use too much force that everything goes flying when the lid comes off - but that's a minor point, really, as most of the cheaper sets don't have any kind of case, and it's far better than the lid being so loose it falls off.If you're thinking of taking up calligraphy writing "roundhand" (basically any style other than copperplate), or getting a second pen with a wider range of nib widths, then this set won't disappoint so long as you prepare and use it properly.

A useful set for those wanting to try their handwriting skills with calligraphy. The dip pen was the reason for the purchase for me - I have several different inks which are not suitable for use in fountain pens, and the dip pen allows the use of these beautiful inks to great effect.

Some sort of coating that you have to scrub off to get them to work properly. Had some issues with ink flow on waxy (nice writing) paper. Not sure what the magnet is for. Othwrwise a good set for a good value

Having tried other nibs I was impressed that I didn't have to degrease these. They are 'plug and play'. Just put nib in the holder, attach reservoir and off you go. Love how they write.

Theres no instructions for use with this so if this is your first time buying you will struggle like i did.Still havent manager to figure out how to use as when i put the pen to paper, instead of making a straight line a blob of ink just falls onto the paper.Feels like a waste of money

Absolutely lovely to write with, and I like that it has a reservoir clip that fits on the other nibs! I've written so much with this and Parker black-blue (gorgeous color) ink that I have tendonitis! It's a real joy to write with though so I'll soon return to it.

Quick delivery, great quality. I Bought them for my sister who is learning calligraphy. She loves them.
