Great Little 2D/3D Blu-Ray Player
For some time now, I have been using the Sony BDP-X700 4K UHD Blu-Ray player which features either Dolby Vision or Blu-Ray 3D, DVD and SACD. For some reason, this player seems unable to navigate certain DVD Front-End Movie Menus. Due to this, I decided to buy the BDP-S6700, which receives numerous Good Reviews from Independent Sources, besides Amazon Reviews. It is not a native 4K UHD player, although it does provide 4K Up-Scaling. It’s really designed to play 2D/3D Blu-Rays, DVD’s and SACD. As stated by other reviewers, this Player is really very small, but its performance is brilliant, with excellent 3D and the aforementioned DVD Movie Menus navigation working perfectly. This Player has 1 HDMI Output, which is the norm for none 4K UHD Players. Plugging this players HDMI output into my Denon Home Cinema Amplifier works perfectly with all discs, including 3D Blu-Rays, as well as all the Amplifier Audio Formats being available. As an aside, 2 HDMI outputs were introduced on 4K UHD Blu-Ray Players, by most, if not all Manufacturers. The Main HDMI Outputs both Audio & Visuals, whilst the extra HDMI Outputs just the Audio. To view 4K UHD Visuals, all devices need to be HDCP 2.1 Compliant. I believe the reason for 2 HDMI’s, was to encourage sales of 4K Blu-Ray Players, so that customers could use their existing non-HDCP 2.1 Home Cinema Amplifier. The various Amplifier Audio formats would process the Audio Signals from the Players extra HDMI Output, with 4K UHD Visuals being provided by the Main HDMI Output, plugged directly into the 4K UHD TV / Projector. The Sony BDP-S6700 ticked all the boxes I wanted from this player, namely Great Picture & Audio Quality, 4K Up-Scaling which looks impressive as does the 3D. It also navigates Front-End DVD Movie Menus perfectly. I only have one slight issue, I thought it was rather pricey, for a non-4K UHD player. That aside, it is a Great Little Player, which does everything I hoped it would, hence this 5 Star Product Review.

This does not do what it says in the Ad.
OK, so whatever you read on the description given for this product, here's the truth: it's 🐮💩.The truth about this product is:1) its Region 2 DVDs only2) it only plays European bluray3) it cannot play 4K Bluray discsNow go back and re- read the item description....So, basically everything about this product that like me, made you think "YES! It's perfect for what I need!" is a blatant misrepresentation of the product. I see that others have fallen foul of this one but you'll note that despite all the complaints, the description has NOT been amended.Do yourself a favour, go look at another product.Forced to give it one star just to be able to write this review.I returned mine and got a full refund.

Happy days.
Bought to replace my old bluray player, so I should be able to play my non region b discs once more.

Not Multi-region! Misleading advertising
I originally bought this BD/DVD player specifically for its multi-region capabilities. So, I inserted a Region 1 DVD and it said that I could not play due to incompatible region. I read the manual and on page 12 under Playable discs - Region Code it said "Your player has a region code printed on the bottom of the unit and will ONLY play BD-ROMs/DVD VIDEOs labeled with identical region codes or ALL". Also it had a UK-only outlet incompatible with Portugal's outlets. I will return this unit for a full refund. (The score is only due to erroneous advertising.)

I Got It For the 3D
Compact little player, very light, and does everything exactly as described. Picture quality and sound are good, and the remote functions OK. It is small, so would be more suited to a lady than a big guy with large hands and fingers. I bought it mainly for the 3D, but here's a little advice... Those of you who want the player for your 3D discs, if you are linked straight into your TV, then the image is perfect. However, the player only has ONE HDMI output, so if you plug the lead into your amplifier for surround sound, then you lose the 3D image and it plays 2D. Only players with two HDMI outputs can give you the best of both worlds with 3D vision and 5:1 surround at the same time. Personally I am quite satisfied to play a 3D disc straight into the TV without the surround. If I want the audio through the amp, I can always watch the film again in 2D. SACD audio sounds pretty powerful through my amp, with good speaker separation and probably annoys the neighbours!

Perfect unlocked blu ray player!
Absolutely delighted with my region-free/multi-region Blu Ray player. I bought the same (locked) model a few months ago but then realised that quite a few of the Blu Rays I wanted were only available in Region A format (Diva, Office Space and quite a few Region A only Criterion releases). If you are buying a Blu Ray player do yourself a favour and buy an unlocked player straight away, and you cannot go wrong buying from Multi Region Magic. I also intend to send them my locked player soon to be unlocked and then I will keep it as a spare. Highly recommended! Thank You.

Near perfect.
It upscales really well.It is region free blu-ray, just follow the instructions.1. Turn the machine on.2. Press the colour for the bluray region you want.3. Eject the tray, put your disc In and away you go. Simple. The dvd is also region free, it's a shame it can't do 4k if it could this would be the perfect player.
