I think this purchase of three Braun Clean and Renew Cartridges is easily enough to buy at one time as they will last for months and there is no real point in buying loads of them because they are not particularly better value if you buy lots more of them at one time.In my estimation one cartridge will last at least a month to six weeks without needing to be changed.

Yes, some people will say that you can simply rinse your razor under a tap (if you have the waterproof models), use the cleaning brush, and lubricate the blades with oil yourself; but with the clean and charge dock it makes life so much easier as it does all this for you.There’s nothing better than the feel of a nice clean, lubricated and gentle lemon fresh razor each time you come to use it. Let’s face it, you’ve gone and spent a good amount on the razor itself, so why compromise on the aftercare. These refills cost about £14 for three, and if like me you shave most days (due to work regulations), or at the very least every other day, then these 3 refills will last you the best part of 6 months!After every shave I dock the shaver and hit the cleaning button, even if the system only says it’s down one light on the hygiene scale, I find it’s always best to let it do a cleaning cycle.If you compare the cost of these refills to the cost of a pack of blades for a well known brand of manual shave razors (that rhymes with ‘silhouette’), then personally I think these are pretty good value for money.If like me you’re prone to shaving rashes and irritated skin, then these are an essential must have! It’s not worth compromising your skin and comfort, for what equates to about 8p per day if they last you 6 months!

I have used this cleaning system for some time with my old shaver and now use a Braun Series 7. It is a convenient way to clean the shaver head and blades. I shave daily but only use the clean button when the last light of the Hygiene scale is shown, which in my experience is perfectly adequate to clean the blades, the cartridges (for me) last 4.5 months before replacement is indicated (I know this as I record the date the cartridge was inserted)

Essential to keep your razor clean and hygienic but at a price!These are easy to fit and operating is done by a single press of a button.Takes about 10 mins to clean and longer to charge, depending - of course - on the level of charge when you put the razor on the charger!Each cartridge lasts about 4 weeks which at more than £8 a cartridge, ain't cheap!I've not seen any alternatives being sold so if you have one of these Braun razors I guess you will have to fork out for them!You can wash your razor under the tap but it's just not as good!
