Lovely sounding Mic - short cable
This is a lovely sounding mic, classic Shure sound signature, and I think it has more character than the Rode SmartLav+. It's brighter and has more presence, without sounding artificial and clipping like some cheaper alternatives. The cable could just do with being another 30cm longer, as I've found it a stretch for most applications I've used it for and ended up having to buy a long extension cable just for an extra foot.I've used it with an Apple 3.5mm > Lightening adapter for an iPhone 11 pro, and also an iPad Pro direct into the 3.5mm socket, both work fine. You might want to invest in a £10 3.5mm splitter cable so you can check your audio with earphones before you commit to an important recording as if it's just plugged in direct, you can't monitor the audio in real time. The mic capsule is tiny, the clip is good quality and the cable very thin and discrete. I've found pointing it downwards, about 6" down from your mouth gives a consistent, clear and non plosive sound.

Basic for Basic use
This MIC it's exactly what you can imagine when you see the picture; it takes a clear audio, it capture a lot of ambient noise but, this is expected. I found the noise can be nullified quite easy if you use a good software to record the audio so you don't have to worry if you are thinking to use this for life streaming. The clip it's huge and doesn't holds well the mic so you may have to come with an sticky solution or be creative; however, the clip it's sturdy and you can use it on any jacket, shirt, etc.Remember you are buying a Shure so, being said, you pay a little more but I'm confident the time will tell me this is a good investment as I had worked with this brand (with different series of mic) since 1995.

Great, natural sounding audio.
Quality audio, easy to use, great value for money, and really improved the quality of my short films.

Very good microphone!
I've been using this for about a year and it's really a good mic, specially considering its size. It can be clipped to clothing too. The sound is very clear as well, which is useful for voice-overs (I hold it near my mouth when talking).

Not Shure what this works with ?
Not sure what this is actually compatible with. It didn’t work with any of my cameras . Must be doing something wrong.

Great sound, need extension cable
Perfect, much better than just using the iPads Mic. Cable is short, lapel to your hip. Good for a roaming mic. I'll be using it with an extension cable
