Nice script
Providing you use sugar paste with Tylose added and leave the paste to dry slightly these are easy to use. Gives a nice script

Leave the paste to harden first and they work perfect
Little bit tricky to use i found if you roll the gum paste out thin and leave it for a bit (about 5/10 mins) so it hardens slightly and then cut them out making sure you dust the cuttet in either icing sugar or corn flower they dont stick in the mold and tend to stay on the worktop. If you roll it out and do it straighy away they stick in and stretch out of shape.

Creates really good letters!
I would definately recommend these cutters. It's important to use either all modelling paste icing (sets hard) or half modelling paste and half fondant. If you only use fondant icing, the letters will get stuck and will lose their shape. This is why the tappit sets tend to get bad reviews which is a shame because they are actually really good and give a great finish. This particular set is slightly smaller than the 'funky' font for example but I find it fits onto smaller cakes better and finishes off a cake really well, especially if you struggle to pipe icing!

Waste of money!
Don’t waste your money these are impossible to use if you want them for icing - they are far to thin and fiddly to remove without breaking! Disappointed!

PERFECT!!
First time use produced no problems, used a touch of tylo powder, roll paper thin, leave a few mins then press, cut, and tap out, perfect...I don't understand why people are having difficulties, the reviews worried me before use but I needn't of bothered, perfect!!!

Not easy to get sugarpaste lettering out! Putting to charity shop...so disappointed....and my sugarpaste was correct thickness...

Not so user friendly alphabet cutters
I had read reviews of this - mixed - and thought I'd give these a go. They are incredibly fiddly but I found not pressing down to hard meant they came out of the cutter more easily. There are particular letters that as the plastic runs across the back of the tool you have NO way of poking them out from the other side, if you are using sugarpaste they could end up drying stuck in.However, the effect of my cake of clear letters looked great compared to my free hand icing, so for that reason I will definitely keep persevering.I'd love to see someone make an alternative however.

Need for perseverence
Haven't found it easy to use as even flower paste isn't always easy to get out but looks nice when it does. Makes lovely shaped lettering.Update : after persevering with these tappits I found that if you roll the fondant very thin and lay flat on a tray and put in the freezer for few minutes it makes a huge difference. Put a little cornflour on the tappit before you use them on the frozen fondant. It works much better than anything I have tried so far. Whereas before I gave it 3 stars I give it 5 stars now as they are working for me at last.
