Works great
They work great. I had been using a cane for my hip pain for a while but it reached the point where that wasn't helping much any more. These help a lot. It's great to have at least some of my mobility back. They come with two different cuff sizes, I like how the mostly closed cuff allows you to use a hand or both without having the things fall all over the place or dealing with trying to negotiate carrying the crutch and whatever thing you were trying to hold in the first place.I'd recommend putting some colored tape or a sticker or something to indicate which one is right and left at a glance because the molded hand grips don't make them interchangeable. The hand grips are very comfortable compared to my cane though, but I'd still use some nice padded gloves if you were planning to be on your feet with them for an extended period of time. I did notice that you use some muscles you don't normally use when walking with these, I was a little bit sore in a good post-workout way in my shoulders and abs, but I appreciate that - it's been a minute since I've been able to walk for long enough to get some sort of workout instead of just being immobilized with joint pain for days afterwards.I like the spring action as well, it works well to cushion the impact. Some reviewers seem to think you should be able to fling yourself around on them - they're crutches, not pogo sticks. I think it would be a good idea to shoot a little bit of lubricant up into the springs from time to time for long-term users: looks like they come pre-lubricated with a dry graphite type of lube, so that's what I'll probably use on them in the future. It was true that the cuffs were a bit hard to swap out and that's true, it is a tight fit. Better than being loose and wobbly if you ask me - if you're struggling with them, you can grease them up with a bit of dish soap and rinse it off afterwards (not the entire cuff - hopefully that goes without saying). If you're still having a hard time, you can carefully heat them with a hair dryer or other heat source to soften the plastic a little, but do so at your own risk, obviously.Anyway, I'm very satisfied with these things. Would buy them again. I'm a tradesman and I have a pretty critical eye when it comes to build quality and the like and these seem pretty durable and well built. I'd say you get your money's worth. Going to go for a little walk around the block with them now just because I can!

Makes life EASIER
Initially, I was trying to find something that was a match for a pair of $240 arm crutches I found. I liked the look but also that they had more features (springs, handles, etc). These mostly fit the bill visually, seemed higher quality than the run of the mill, and were half the price of the inspo crutches.I've been using crutches and a knee scooter for almost 4 months now and this has been a game changer for me. I don't think I could have started off with something like this, I needed the support of the crutches to rest my armpits on. But now that I'm much more mobile and my hands are stronger, these make moving much smoother. I can easily use the arm band to pick the crutch up while carrying something in that hand and use the other as a cane. When I'm in my house, I almost never use both since speed isn't an issue. Using it as a cane feels much more supportive than the cane I have, too. Not wobbly, love the little pivoting foot/spring. Movement feels so natural with these. I highly recommend these if you're looking for something to use in the long term, once you're doing well with the clunkier old-school crutches. Upgrade. You won't regret it.

How I Made These Awesome
I'm over 50 and have RA, PsA, and neuropathy, so I use forearm crutches all the time. I had the KMINA version of these (also on Amazon), but the forearm cuffs are open. They have a pad to put on the cuffs with Velcro attachments, but they snagged my clothing. It was time to get new ones, so I got these.AS IS:PROS- Closed cuff is excellent, which allows me to grab objects without trying to lean them against something- Self-assembly is pretty easy- Customized sizing is greatCONS- Tips are small and slide on smooth surfaces- They sound like crutches because of the sizing mechanism- Hand grips could have paddingHOW I MADE THEM (MOSTLY) AWESOMEThe worst part for me was the tips. I felt unsteady using them on my tile floor because they would slide. I thought, "If only I could merge my KMINA crutches with these, they would be great!" So I did that.STEPS- Removed the KMINA 7/8-inch Heavy Duty crutch tips from my Kmina's- Placed them on these crutches- Removed the KMINA forearm crutch pads with Velcro straps from my KMINAs- Placed them on theseNow they are so much more comfortable and steady. I just wish I could use the sizing mechanism KMINA uses with the external ring to hold the size rather than the internal metal retractable thingy. That metal makes you sound like you are using crutches from your local hospital. The updates will do for now, though.
