Immediately after unboxing our HP 2-in-1 Sprocket my kids we excited and eager to test it out. The packaging was appealing and fairly simple to open. It fits right in the palm of your hand. The product comes with a charging cord that looks extremely durable, almost like it’s encased in a knot, as well as a wrist handle, and a 10 pack of zink photo paper. This particular seller includes an additional 20 pack which is great for experimenting. All we had to do was connect the wristband, charge it up, and play!I love that my 4 and 6 year old kiddos were able to figure out how to use the camera right off the bat. After setting up the app on my iPhone we started to take photos both using the app and on the 2-in-1 device. They loved watching the photos come out. My daughter immediately placed one on her school binder.I want to say the quality of the photos came out better when taken on my phone as opposed to when taken on the actual camera, but I’m still playing around with it.The Sprocket in my eyes does the job, it does as it’s promised. I love that we you can take fun photos, print them immediately and stick them anywhere. The photo paper is made of Zink so there’s no need for an ink cartridge, which I must say blew me away.Granite the photo quality is not the very best; it’s more for instantaneous fun and I can see myself and my family having a lot of fun with it. It’s all about the memories, instant access, and completing the project with this product.The app allows you to add additional layers and also provides a photo booth setting where you can take 4 photos right after the other in one sitting, again another feature I’ll be playing around with.Make sure your mark that you want your photos from the app to autosave to your camera feed so you don’t lose anything special. I made that mistake right away. I think the Sprocket is perfect for scrapbooking projects, crafting, and especially for creating your dream boards for the year. I can totally see myself using this at events, perhaps as a way for people to take their photos and sign a guestbook, or passing it around just for the fun of it.I received this product in exchange for my honest review, and honestly I have nothing but great things to say about it so far. My only wish is the photos came out clearer and perhaps they consider dropping the price a bit. I can’t wait to explore the many ways I’ll can use this product.

I have the first version of HP Sprocket printer and I can say that the 2-in-1 offers more option and is a lot more fun to use! It is so nifty and so handy, it makes for a great gadget for that little future photographer in your life, or even a perfect gadget for those who travel and document their adventures in their travel journal accompanied by photos! The possibilities are endless. A perfect gift for the budding scrapbook enthusiast, the creative artist, wedding snapshots to share right on the day of the wedding, or even just because.WHAT MAKES IT GREAT:The ease of use and instantaneous option of printing your pictures right on cue. The gadget is compact enough to carry with you on your travels. The photo paper has sticky-back which allows you to stick it to any surface, your laptop, the back of your phone or even create a collage of your favorite memories on the privacy of your wall.I also love the aesthetic design of the camera option of the 2-in-1 sprocket. It is so cute and the viewfinder is simple and uncomplicated. It even have a timer and a flash! Now that's a plus for a gadget that started off as a printer. Just the original version, this also connects to an app on your phone to give you freedom of selecting which photo to print from your social media channels.WORTHY OF NOTE:This gadget is meant for fun and creativity. Don't expect too much on the quality of the picture or its ability to capture long distance scenery. The flash is not strong enough to light a subject 2 feet away (SEE sample picture I took of our TV) - subject will be shrouded in darkness. Pictures are also not HD quality. It may look a bit grainy and color will not be as bright. Using the viewfinder may take a little bit of getting used to in gauging how far you need to be from your subject, I cut off so many heads in the process, this even when subject is perfectly inside the viewfinder window.OVERALL:In spite of its small technical shortcoming, I LOVE the 2-in-1 a lot more than my original version of Sprocket. I did have tons of fun with it with my family. It's a keeper! I'm thinking of using it for my vision board, inspirational collage of photos of my designs on my wall and a whole lot more! I can already see lots of uses. Pleasantly surprised!! We were using the sprocket 2-in-1 printer within minutes. Comes with a numbered card with simple instructions, making setup a breeze… download the free app on your phone, open and install paper, charge printer and connect the Sprocket to your smartphone via Bluetooth.Very user-friendly, my 11-year-old was able to use the printer via the app with no problems. We are currently making a tiny scrapbook of our dogs, one we recently lost and our new 9-month-old puppy. This was the perfect gadget to print photos via my smartphone. The sticker backs make journaling and scrapbooking incredibly easy. We also made a small garland of photos and decided to leave the sticker backs on.The app allows you to modify images and add fun frames and photo effects before printing. Photo quality is good for such a tiny printer.Upon starting my Sprocket it froze and would not power down. Thankfully, I was able to reset by holding down the reset button for 3 seconds and it was fine. I’m only sharing this because the reset button access point was a bit hard to find. It’s located on the face of the printer paper holder.Very pleased with our Sprocket 2-in-1, it will get tons of use on our travels for our travel journals.
