App is super convenient. We've been able to activate and deactivate codes for contractors to come in and do work, etc. Deadbolt is also strong and sturdy. It seems flimsy in some respects when first opening the package - but it works great and is secure. Great product for the price. Highly recommend. But - be prepared to put an extra hole in your door for the bottom handle to nest in. It comes with a pattern that is a perfect fit - so it's also easy to install.

Hardware worked well for me. Bought one originally when I replaced my back door; and due to the convenience of using the key fob, keypad or app to unlock the door - went back and switched out my 2 other exterior doors as well. Switched out a $400 Shalage keypad set on my front door due to the convenience of using this set. The key fob works great, especially when you have your hands full

The lock is sooooo worth the price. If you want it all, you can get it with this lock. My sister and I installed this on both of our houses on the same day and we CANNOT stop going through the front door. You get a key FOB, the best. A generated code, a key if your battery dies…and you can add users permanently or temporarily. My next step is to link it to ALEXA. I’m impressed that I! could install it without any help. I haven’t written a review in a while, but I had to brag on this gem. Get you one!

Got the whole door together and working. Work the handle to open the door from the inside and feel something slip. Door now won’t open from the inside but still will from the outside. Weird. Take the whole mechanism apart, getting it working again. 10 or so pulls later, fails again. Take it all apart and put it together till I finally see the problem.If you see in the photo, inside that gap is the slider plate for the latch. There are 2 pins inside the mechanism that push that plate back sliding the latch. The one for the outside handle is smack in the middle. The one for the inside handle is at the bottom. If you notice, the place where the pins push is on the left side of the photo. You’ll see the corner is rounded and there is a gap. What was happening, in about 1 in 10 tries, the pin slides round that corner between the slider and wall of the mechanism, then gets stuck on the other side. Now, with the pin stuck, you’re, for all intents and purposes, locked in your house. The handle won’t work, the latch is stuck because the pin that works the mechanism is out of place, and you can’t get out unless someone opens it from the outside or you take it apart.Hoping for everyone who bought this door knob that it’s just a defect with the one I got and not a design defect. Cause god forbid if you need to get out your house in an emergency and have this mechanism fail on you, you’re stuck inside or climbing out a window.

6/8/23 - I am editing this review. Since installing a year ago, we have not had any issues with the lock. Additionally, the manufacturer reached out to me after my review posted and wanted more information, and has since updated their design. I would recommend.I bought this lock for our new home that we just moved into. I figured I would get with the times, and after reading the reviews it seemed like it would be an easy lock to install. I was very wrong - it literally took my boyfriend all day to install this lock. What the reviews didn't tell me is that if you have a wood door, it is MUCH easier than a metal door. We had the old typical deadbolt previously and the hole was nowhere near the size needed for this lock. He had to not only adjust the hole in the door, but also in the door frame. They didn't align well, he had to keep going to the store for parts... it was a literal nightmare and at one point we were too far in to turn around so he had to keep going. He has installed many, many things before and it wasn't due to his lack of ability, it was simply the design and the metal door.After install, we were glad to finally have it done. I downloaded the app, it synced right up. But then... when I pressed 'lock' it actually UNlocked the door, and vice versa. Pulled back out the instructions... read that there is a toggle inside that needs set to left or right, depending on hinges, and if that isn't right then the lock will do the opposite of what it should. The hinges are on the left, my boyfriend had set it to the left. Just to see if it would work, off went the cover again, he switched the toggle switch to the right, replaced the cover. Tried it again... still reverse of what it should be. I noticed in the app that you can select in there where the hinges are, so I selected left but it kept 'failing' and wasn't able to complete that in the app. We gave up for the night.Next day, contacted customer support. The very foreign person suggested that I go into the app, into a section that DOESN'T EXIST, to make an adjustment. I told her that I didn't have that option, she told me to hold. During the hold, I went back into the section of the app that allows you to select your hinge side. This time, it allowed me to sync it to the left. I went and tried the door.... and it worked. FINALLY. Funny thing is, the toggle switch inside is still set to 'right.' So I don't know, but at least it works now.I haven't had it long enough to give any feedback on the longevity of the lock and if it continues to work. I am hoping that it does. At this point, I would not purchase this lock again.

Very good product. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to have keyless entry lock.
