Southern Ag Snail and Slug Bait, 20 Pound Bag

I lived in my home 4 years. I have lived all over the place. But, I never seen snails and slugs as much as this home! My first year here I planted two flower beds. They were beautiful. First rain we had after I planted the flower bed. There were thousands of snails. Within the first week every plant was eaten up. Hundreds of dollars. I paid 350.00 to have an exterminator come out. First rain snails and slugs all over our house. I Googled snail remedies tried almost everyone! Nope thousands of snails. Bought snail bait never worked.someone ask me to try this stuff. I said I tried snail bait! But, I did and first rain DEAD SNAILS EVERYWHERE! 🐌 I WENT ON VACATION. My neighbor put my snails stuff around my pots because it's rained everyday I was gone. One plant she forgot to do. It's dead! This stuff is AMAZING! I now can have plant in my yard!

This is my second order of the 20 lb bag. The first one lasted 5 years. It uses metaldehyde which is deadly for slugs or snails. You have to make sure that you keep the dogs away. I have a fenced garden so am not too worried about it. This is much more effective than the "safe" slug killers which don't seem to do much. If you have a slug problem, put this on. The next day your garden will look like a battlefield with all the dead slugs strewn about.

Very efficient way to eliminate snails and slugs that destroy hostas. Start baiting early in spring and again in fall before nighttime temperatures drop below 45 degrees. Like all southern ag products I’ve purchased this works great.

We just moved into a new house (for us) 2 months ago and quickly discovered we had a snail problem. I don't know the last time I've ever seen a snail and here I am running around the patio and pool deck every day with a brush and dustpan picking up dozens, maybe a hundred in a day! I got this and put it in cracks, on the mulch, and in the grass and two days later, major improvement. It's been about two weeks now and some days I still find maybe 5 and other days zero. I'm very happy to get the snail situation under control. I will say the instructions did say not to use the product on grass, I think not because it's harmful to the grass but rather it's where kids and pets roll around and this product can be harmful to more than just snails.

Scatter this around and the slugs & snails are attracted to it, eat it and die - en masse. It really works well. Also like that its in pellet form unlike the powder that blows everywhere.

I had a snail infestation. I put the product out as recommended. I can see a noticeable difference. I have applied twice. I see plenty of white shells now and only see the smaller ones. I believe the adults ones have been killed and I am seeing the newbies. At the moment, I believe the product is working.

Once in a while you buy something that actually works well , this is one of those things.This product is not available where I live. It is not pet safe but I don’t have a dog and there are none roaming around. The pet safe variety doesn’t work and is a waste of money. No more holes in my hostas no more petunias and marigolds and zinnias eaten overnight. I can grow cucumbers and lettuce. Love this product

Wow! Every year my young marigolds, hostas,Irish moss, and peppers were getting eaten alive by slugs on every humid or rainy night. Cory's and Ortho products had ZERO effect as the slugs have to eat the iron phosphate pellets and why would they do that . Tried Southern Ag Snail and Slug Bait out of desperation and BAM!, next morning >85 silver slime trails ended with a dead slug. This product is amazing! It is the only one with 3.25% Metaldehyde available and unlike other "baits" snails and slugs do not have to eat it to die! Only have to apply it 2x per season for complete protection. Just follow directions and keep away from pets.
