Wow. How often these days do you buy a product that actually does everything it's supposed to?Not very freaking often! This respirator is one of those rare products. Was it cheap? No. Is it worth every damned penny I paid for it? Absolutely!I've used this unit for woodworking and metal grinding with N99 filters, painting and using nasty high VOC solvents with VOC cartridges, and working in my crawlspace with the N99s and a full Tyvek. It's just amazing all the time.Great seal and no leakage - ever (even if I haven't shaved in a couple of days). The design is fantastic, it fits great, is super comfortable for long periods, goes on without pinching skin or hair (it's truly a breeze!), and adjusts in seconds. It's easy to breathe with no noticeable restrictions or shortness of breath - even when performing somewhat strenuous activity while wearing it. Working in the crawlspace, I've been upside down and on my back - no issues at all. You can actually forget you are wearing it. This is the first one I've ever owned where that's been the case.But here is the "chef's kiss" with this thing: I've never fogged it up! Not once so far!In summary: don't waste money on crap PPE. If you need to protect yourself, get the right gear from the beginning. Buy quality and only cry once. This is the one.

Comfortable fit, easy to put on and take off compared to the 3M 6000 series. No worries of breaking the straps like the 6000 series. Nice material inside the mask wearing it for hours at a time with no discomfort.

I wear contact lenses. Contact lenses and dust don't mix. Even without them, renovations, dust and I don't mix in large quantities, I pay for it down the track. Having filled a standard P2 mask and taken a lungful of gypsum after cutting a large older sheet when renovating, I decided enough was enough, as I had more to cut. I invested in this mask and I would thoroughly recommend it. For starters I had to get up in an old roof, and blower vac out the dust. I could work like I was in an office job, with bits of dust, rubbish from the underside of the tiles falling directly on my face mask, no problems at all, whilst maintaining wearing my contact lenses without any problem. And its so comfortable compared to other masks I have worn, it really is. And it sure beats having safety glasses fog up so you then injure some other part of your body. The only time I had any fog was after giving it a clean with water and cloth down the track and non drying it properly otherwise it was very dry, as there are TWO seals. One around ones mouth and one around the face. One day I walked in and my wife was cooking something and was talking about it - she said can't you smell it? I said no, and I could not. When I took off the mask, only then could I smell the aromatic food she was cooking - so the filtration is really 'that good' - very impressive. If you are renovating, sanding, wear contact lenses or cutting concrete or granite, and you value your lungs, heart, eyesight or not cutting your finger off with the angle grinder as your safety glasses fog up during the cut, or being able to do the job safely, you need one of these in my opinion. Also I found the storage bag to be useful as well. This product is one of the best I have bought in ages, and originally I was worried about spending so much on a mask, but it paid for itself on the first day. Well done 3m, you did a great job with this one, and the filters I used on it 3M Multi Gas Vapor Cartridge, Filter 60926, P100.

I bought this for my husband who works transporting salt water. What does that mean you ask? When extracting oil water needs to be thrown on the machinery to keep it cool so it won't overheat or burn. This dirty water is now called salt water (at least that is how he explained it to me, so if I'm wrong forgive me). Along with this water other chemicals come out, such as oil and some gases. Some of these gases can be deadly if inhaled for long periods of time. At the company he works, he is given this little machine (I don't know what is called) and if it starts beeping you are supposed to get as far away from the water drums as possible because these deadly gases are present, running against the wind. One time he didn't run far or fast enough so he had a major headache and felt sluggish for days ( I guess considering this wasn't as bad, but still). So he asked his boss for a mask. They told him there was only a limited amount of masks and if he wanted one he would have to check it in and out everyday, sign for it, jump a hoop, sign with blood... Okay I made the last two up but you get the jest... Oh and he could only sign it out if he was going to a location in which they new for a fact this gas was present.We said enough and researched the masks in the market and this one gave the most for money. He now carries it with him all the time. His co workers have asked where he got it from because it looks safer than the ones the company has. Even his boss asked about the specks and where he had gotten it, because they were considering purchasing new ones after seeing his. But most importantly, he is now safe! He has encountered this gas before and with the mask on he was able to with stand the gas ( I mean he didn't stay there in the middle of it, but it did it's job). We had to buy 3m Multi gas/vapor cartridge filter since it didn't come with one.So to sum it up, this mask has literally been a life saver.
