Outstanding
I was very disappointed when I first opened the box. The top of the waffle maker has a huge crack, front to back. Thought about sending it back for just a minute, but hate the hassle of returning stuff to Amazon. The maker works perfectly though. Now I don’t even care about the crack! Cut my waffle making time by 1/4!!! And the waffles are better than before.I was gifted a Dash mini waffle maker several years ago. My wife and grandkids love my buttermilk waffle recipe, so I make them frequently. A batch of my recipe makes 16-18 mini waffles. It takes 4-5 minutes for each waffle. 16 waffles at 5 minutes each = a lot of minutes cooking waffles! I finished a batch today in under 30.The waffles are delicious and actually a little fluffier than usual! Plus there is no mess. With the single waffle maker, if I put in too much batter, it overflowed and made a mess on the maker and countertop. With this maker, it runs in to a side trough and makes a waffle stick. Genius. This product is well worth the money. My other Dash maker is over 5 years old and still works perfectly. I hope I get that much out of this one.It is lightweight and about the same size as a 4 slice toaster. It will be easy to store. I did not use any cooking oil or spray because the cooking surface is nonstick. I cleaned it up the few crumbs with a paper towel after the grids cooled off.

I got mine now you have to get yours - Waffles for everybody
started out with the single mini. took it to work and quickly realized I need at least 4 waffles at a time. I asked and bam I was excited. It works great and cooks just like the mini single just 4 are produced. Its a hit at work. Buy it. Now the handle gets a little hot from the heat but hey easy fix - wear some heat gloves or use tongs when opening. Battle won! Excellent purchase. I recommend this purchase. Its not expensive the colors are cute. Perfect size, just dropped it in my backpack and went on out the door. Wipes clean with damp rag. The plate is not removable but dont let that stop you from this purchase. Ooooh almost forgot the over flow section makes cute waffle sticks.

It's quick, gets plenty hot, nice and neat to help avoid sticky messes.
I love this waffle iron. I have two of the mini waffle makers by Dash and they work great. I actually was hunting for one with removable plates and hoping for a fair price. Unfortunately the lower priced ones at least, seldom went above 700 or 750 watts and I didn't feel that was enough to cook waffles properly or quickly. Since I have been happy with all of my small Dash appliances I decided to go with this one that makes 4 at a time. It works great. And those drip trays really do catch the overspill and saves a mess on the outer edges of the iron. There isn't a latch so it won't stay shut on it's own if you stand it on end. I have stood mine up in the cupboard and it does stay shut if I lean it just a bit. I don't miss having a latch because I find they usually are the first things to break. The first batch of waffles take the longest. The following waffles cook quicker in about 4 minutes. I don't spray or use any type of oil on it and I never did on my smaller ones either. I've never had a sticking issue.

We make extra waffles for the freezer
I love this thing... Before purchase, I bought a lot of Eggos and store brand versions. As prices have climbed, was looking for an alternative. Then got the bright idea of make and freeze, so I'll make 48 - 60, eat 4 - lol and then wrap in groups of four and freeze. While my niece calls it cute, I find it's nice and stable and can 'hover' less when niece/nephew use it. I've used all the recipes in the booklet, they all came out good, some are not my style but tasted ok. I would say about half of the recipes will be made regularly. Depending on color preference might add up to 2 minutes to cook time. -- my suggestion, (I don't like the 'can' over spray) invest in a silicone bbq/basting type brush ... if you like new ideas, maybe check the library etc for 'The Waffle Cookbook' (Leslie Freiberger)

Great substitute for frozen waffles
I've had this waffle maker for a little over a year, and I use it to make a big batch of waffles about once a week. Overall, I've been very happy with it. If you are looking for something to make waffles at home that are similar to frozen waffles from the store, this is a good fit. The waffles are slightly smaller and thicker than store bought waffles, so they are a bit less crispy, which could be good or bad depending on your preference. I use a 1/4 cup and slightly under-fill it, and that works great. If you over-fill the back waffle spots, the front waffles don't get cooked as well.If I were to change one thing about this waffle maker, I would give it removable plates that can go in the dishwasher. It's a bit tricky to clean. I've got my system down now, but it's unwieldy. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you get a lighter color (I got the seafoam green), the sides will get brown-ish over time. It doesn't really bother me, but I can imagine it would be an issue for some people.

Easy to use and clean. Perfect size to eat hot waffles together!
This is excellent and we are replacing our single waffle flip wafflemaker. It is the perfect size for two of us and we can eat hot waffles together. The use for breakfast, brunch, or dessert is great and the design makes it easy to use and clean.

Great little waffle iron it’s making me fat!!
I’m eating way too many waffles! I know and I agree that there is no such thing as too many waffles. This little thing cranks em out consistently time after time. Pro tip after the waffle iron toss em in the air fryer for a minute and have the most delicious light and crispy waffles on planet earth
