I purchased this medal display case for my husband, who is a Vietnam Veteran. For years, his medals were literally stuffed into a satchel in the back of his closet with ALL of his Vietnam era memorabilia. Like many Veterans of this era, he has struggled with his emotions about the time he served and displaying his medals just wasn't the "right" thing to do for so long. Well, finally after so many years of them being hidden away, I thought it would be beneficial for me to purchase this display case and proudly have them displayed for all to see. When the display case arrived, it was very impressive. I chose the black enameled finish. When I gave the display case with the medals already inside to my husband, he was speechless and very emotional. It now proudly hangs in our living room for all to see and for him to reflect on in a positive way. For me, this was a purchase that was very well worth the cost and a well made item. I highly recommend it.

Purchased this as part of a gift for my dad who is a Vietnam vet. During his time in the war, he earned six medals but because of his experience, never bought or kept most of them. My husband is in the Navy and my dad and he have really bonded over their mutual service. My dad was clearly becoming more proud of his own service and so we purchased each of the medals he'd earned and displayed them in this case for him. He was very moved and we were very pleased with this lovely box which was well-made and the perfect size for his six medals. Do be aware that it was tough for us to figure out how to attach all of the medals so they were straight but that's just patience and figuring it out, not a flaw with the case itself.

These are great, I have two now, one black and one oak.The wood is decent quality and the box comes with everything that you need(keys, anchors, screws, mounting bracket).It is solidly built....I DOES NOT feature a glass face, it is some kind of plastic, and that is fine by me.....in this case, plastic works better because glass is heavier and will shatter if dropped. With this front, the case has a better chance of survival intact if it goes tumbling.Reasonably priced, it is perfect for what I put in it(police badges in one and military medals in the other)

I purchased this for my father’s medals ,I feel like the price was steep however it’s what I needed and had good reviews. I used double sided tape to adhere the medals and it worked well and I was happy it came with a lock! It look’s great and the front is plexiglass.

I got this to display a valor award that my husband earned. I was very satisfied with the quality of this. I actually am going to order another one to display his badges from work since he recently retired. I ordered the cherry color, it's very nice quality. The background where I inserted the metal with a pin easily mounted with no problem, I actually moved it a couple of times to get it straight and there were no problems with that. It looks beautiful, I highly recommend this display case.

The appearance of the box is great but trying to affix the medals to the lining is virtually impossible. I was expecting a softer, thicker backing material. I am unable to insert the 3-medal pin into the current backing so have had to take it to a professional picture framer to get this done

Overall this case is very nice and I'm happy I purchased it. I have the small size in black and the finish is nice. The clasp on the side is gold and very easy to open, even when the case is hanging on the wall. I purchased this to hold my husband's masonic pins. The interior backing of the case is fabric, but it's fabric tightly stretched against wood, there's no padding in between. I'm not able to poke pins through the interior backing as I hoped. The sample picture shows Military Medal pins in the case. I'm not sure how they would be affixed, because there's no way to put a pin through the back of this case. Perhaps the thought is to permanently attach the pins to the backing, using an adhesive or something. I was hoping for something my husband could take the pins in and out of as needed for meetings. I used the case, but had to rig up a foam and felt backing of my own in order to make it work for my needs. If you're buying this, just be aware there is no padded backing or any way to insert a pin into the back of this.The included hardware works great and the package arrived in excellent condition. Overall, it's a very nice case, I was just expecting a padded backing to insert pins.

I read the reviews before ordering and they convinced me to make the purchase. The box is well made, sturdy and met my needs perfectly. Most of the boxes shown on Amazon were too large for what I wanted to display. I would totally recommend it.
