For the price, this is a decent kit. Make sure you're working in a well ventilated area, you'll be making quite a bit of smoke, which you won't want to breathe in. I found the supply and variety of hot staples to be generous and the included flush cut pliers to be a welcome surprise. One thing I did notice, is that the smoothing tool is very difficult to use and has very little workability, in that the plastic rods either don't melt or turn into mush very quickly. This was my first time attempting to use this type of tool, so it may be user error.Regardless of my opinion, if you're looking for a starter kit for plastic welding, this is a decent one. You will learn as you go.

This thing is awesome! The lower part of my car bumper got tore up (as many do) from scraping sidewalks and car stoppers to the point it was ripping in half and starting to fall off the car. It’s an older car so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money getting it fixed professionally. I just wanted to piece it back together again and make it solid on the car. This tool did the trick! I felt like a surgeon doing surgery on the backside of it, but I got it all stapled back together and it is solid on the car now. This tool is very versatile and would probably fix anything that is fiberglass or plastic. Definitely recommend!!

I have fixed many things with this already. The back board on my basketball hoop broke in half. It’s like new now. After putting the staples in I used one of the plastic stick to fill in the crack and I did over heat the gun. It’s not meant to run continuously for more than 15 minutes or so. I let it cool down and it started working fine. Since then I have fixed about a dozen other things including a broken plastic stock on a BB Gun. It’s just like new. I’ve fixed my wife’s plastic crates , and a fixed a broken ryobi 1/4 impact driver that broke off where the battery attaches. I definitely love this plastic welder

Looks like 90% of this style are the same model. Went with this one for the accessories, which are very cheap, but useful in the right scenarios. First minor project was repairing a cracked trashcan. Got a touch hot towards the end, but didn't blow up like some of the reviews state. I'm guessing most of those are from folks pushing it too hard. Not the consumer's fault when protections fail, but you've also got to understand what you're buying. Are the internals skookum? No idea. IDK what I'm looking at. You tell me.

once you get a plastic welder you will wonder why you haven't got it before. I don't know how many times I've tried to use glue to fix something and it NEVER WORKS... With this it just works! you'll need to do some practice before you start on your project but once you understand what to do, its perfect

This works great for plastic repair. I bought to repair atv plastic. Work well! I also Broke the plastic safety handle on a chain saw. I used this to repair and holding up great! A good deal for plastic repairs.

I purchased this plastic welding type kit to repair cracks in various plastic parts. It worked well on my cracked meta 3d printed controller holder. This repair was delicate because the controller holder was very thin. Some finesse is required in cases where plastic is thin, A little technique is needed to to make the repair look nice...Must practice! I will try some garden tools next I know these repaires will make things last longer. I think it was a good buy!

Seems to be of good quality. Heats the staple up in about 5 seconds making the job quick. Has a good assortment of staples and color filler rods. I used this to weld a crack in a poly wheelbarrow tub (Never poly again). Supported the bottom of the tub with 3/4” plywood to keep contents from falling through the crack.Only time will tell if the staples will keep the welded crack from separating. I think the best application here is repairing cracked plastics and bumpers and other nonload surface areas.
