Just put on a week ago, so we'll see how they hold up.....pun intended. So far, as soon as they were installed, it was an immediate WOW. Not only do they hold the hatch up easily, they actually lifted the hatch all the way from closed position to lifted position. Very impressed with the lifting force they have. Again, time will tell to see if they become weaker anytime soon, but for now, I could not ask for any better.

Easy to install and work perfectly, I would recommend also checking your rubber boots for the rear hatch. Installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Stop propping your hatch up with a 2x4, you’re validating our XJ stereotype! It all seriousness, I’m going on two years with these and they’re amazing. Opening with one hand makes so many tasks less annoying. I used to avoid using my hatch and would load everything into the back seat. Not anymore! And the install takes a wrench and about 7 minutes if you have a buddy to hold the hatch up while you do it

it is a great strong product. holds door well but it had a different 'lock' than my previous set. it took a little while to figure out how to slide the lock open

after watching a quick and i mean quick tutorial on YT, these bad boys were a cinch to install.I installed on my 96 jeep 4dr Cherokee Country XjKey note to all.....they are crazy strong and i have to get out of the way when i unlatch the hatch and its upward momentum makes my baby's rear end spring up. DONT GET CAUGHT SLEEPIN' AND GET KNOCKED OUT FROM A JEEP UPPERCUT.great equipment. would buy again.
