Cool kit but the controller doesn’t work.
I purchased this kit for my son for Christmas. He finally began assembling it recently, and has discovered the controller is not operational so he can’t even use the kit. Very disappointed.Edit: their customer service is great. They sent a whole new kit to replace the faulty remote. Even outside of the 30 day return window. My son is very happy with the product now that the defective remote has been replaced.

If you have a tiny engineer, this is the right robot for him!
My son received one of these for Christmas, put it together and then ordered this one because it has tracks instead of wheels. He loves the design of both robots and put both of them together all by himself. He is 11. He loves the remote controlled arms because they can pick things up. He has a hard time keeping the tracks on this one, but he loves them both none the less. Great gift for a kid that likes to put things together.

I'ts super speed with 4 motors (may not required that much as it not racing RC) the issue with all RC motors that the speed is from 0 to 100% so you cannot control the speed, it needs to control speed to be more accurate when you hold objects, the second thing is balancing, with heavey object it will filp, other than this it's amazing

dont get the tracked version
The unit does not have enough power to turn with the tracks on. get the version with the mecanum wheels. I had to remove the tracks to get it to move properly. the instructions are not very good, it takes some figuring out. it's fun to play with, but I don't think the lift gearbox will last long. I definitely wouldn't buy this version again.

Difficult to put together
It was really difficult on the fingers to put it together. The kid gave up getting it to work.

Very nice
A wonderful project for child and parent. Easy to follow instructions and build together. Needs teamwork and concentration. Can lift things Elmer’s glue bottle and other things. Remote control works well.
