Love it!! ❤️
We collect Clue board games and couldn’t wait to add this one to the collection! It is beautiful, heavy duty, well built, and classic. Definitely a steal for the price I paid, which I think was only $25ish dollars. It has a storage compartment for all of the pieces including the cards. Highly recommend getting this one!

Refreshing Modern Deluxe Set
This Signature Collection edition of Hasbro’s CLUE (the only such game I can find so far, assuming the Signature Collection will be a series) is a fun, elegant deluxe edition, perfect for a collector or as a gift. The line art by Anthony Petrie looks gorgeous, and strikes a perfect balance between contemporary design tastes & being evocative of CLUE’s prime era amongst Christie’s Poirot & Marple. Hasbro even revived Mrs. White for this edition (although concept art for Doctor Orchid can be seen on Petrie’s website — worth a look for a close examination of this game’s graphics!), with Petrie’s line art giving homage to the new character art created for the Amazon Alexa enhanced “Ghost of Mrs. White” edition (another smart choice by Hasbro, since their own redesigned Mrs. White, who can be seen in the CLUE-GUESS WHO? Mash-Up game, would not read as a housekeeper/cook in silhouette).Much to my pleasant surprise, this edition of the game is a tribute to excess once unboxed for play. The board is *massive compared to the tiny CLUE boards Hasbro has been using since 2018. Wooden suspect tokens feel very different from previous “vintage” editions, but are sturdy and look great against the black, white, and gold of the game board. The weapons are all cast in metal, with an entirely new metal Rope token making its debut. Now the token matches the graphics of the new card art, for the first time in years. I’d love to see Hasbro phase out their plastic Rope in favor of this new metal token (and retire the Lead Pipe — replace it with the Poison since two different token options already exist — but I digress). The other weapons have all been seen before across other deluxe editions, dating back to 1988’s CLUE: MASTER DETECTIVE game. For some reason though, my Candlestick token has no hole in the top, as they usually do, but is essentially flat. Not sure if that’s intentional (perhaps it somehow saves a little money?) or if I’ve got a malformed Candlestick. The game includes a *thick pad of double-sided detective notebooks, and 6 cardboard player screens to guard your notes from your opponents’ eyes. While they’re very attractive props, contributing greatly to playing with this edition feeling like a bit of an event, I am a little disappointed they need to exist at all.Hasbro/Parker Brothers produced a Limited Gift Edition of CLUE in 1997. This game came with 6 folding, wipe-off detective’s notebooks. For the prices Hasbro & WS Games charge for their deluxe & “luxury” editions of CLUE(DO), they always include a limited supply of paper note sheets, and sometimes maybe a sturdy board to clip them on during play (50th Anniversary and Silver Line editions). If sustainability is the new vibe for Hasbro Games, why go to the trouble of packing the tokens & cards for this edition in paper wrapping and not go a little farther by truly upgrading the paper notepad too? It would certainly be more of a keepsake game with “infinite” notebooks — preserving the full gameplay experience in perpetuity. The outer box houses two trays, much like a very nice record album or movie boxed set. One tray holds the paper notepad, and two tuck boxes containing the deck of cards, and the suspect/weapon tokens. Two large red dice store next to the tokens box. The quad-fold board rests between the trays, and the lower tray houses a sleeve holding the 6 player screens. The trays might have had a little more thought given to them — they’re very rudimentary plastic trays, with the true storage coming down to the two small boxes included to hold the cards & tokens. Personally I don’t love letting the wooden pawns & metal weapons clatter together, but admit a third box would have felt a bit silly. The rules booklet includes the same rules found in all modern CLUE games, and incorporates the full character biographies normally stuck on the standard edition’s insert. The rules are presented in large, clear text on only a few pages — new and returning players will have no problem getting started. A larger booklet with some essay/historical note would have been nicer, but this serves its purpose. So who is this for? If you know a mystery/game lover, this is a unique deluxe offering for the CLUE brand, and I think any such person would be thrilled to receive it as a gift. If you yourself are that person (as I am), I would either let someone else make a gift of it, or track it here for a sale/price drop. It’s a gorgeous, well made edition of CLUE, and very refreshing after what must be a decade of variants on the same 1949/1986 retro-deluxe offerings. If you just want a brand-new classic CLUE game, get either the Classic Edition from Winning Moves or the Retro Series 1986 edition from Hasbro. This edition is absolutely just for a collector or for gifting, which is why I wouldn’t recommend jumping on it at full price.EDIT: I want to add another note of praise, this time for the game’s packaging. The white sleeve bearing the CLUE logo & contents picture removes, leaving a deep blue game box with the logo in gold. Inside, great care has been taken by layering tissue paper around the rules book & between the trays. The cards & tokens are held inside their respective tuck boxes, the cards further wrapped in two paper sleeves, and the tokens secured in a paper pouch. Smartly, as this is meant to be a gift/collectible edition, the entire thing is shrink-wrapped in plastic. Not an entirely plastic-free experience, but major kudos to Hasbro for going as far as they could with this specific product.

Such a great gift!
Gave this new addition Clue game to our son for his new home. Our family has played Clue for YEARS & this new version is even better. It looks nice enough to leave in box on a coffee table too!
