My wife suffers from a lot of neuromuscular issues, and trying to masage all those knots wears a thumb out. This Guasha tool has great weight to it, so I don't have to apply a lot pressure to get at those knots with the different edges. The scraping sides are quite effective but doesn't scrape the skin or is painful to the touch. I can utilize this tool for half an hour or more without my hand cramping or feeling tired. we've had it for several years and it still looks practically brand new if you take care of it.

This gua sha tool has become absolutely essential in my daily routine! I dry-brush my skin before stepping into the shower. For the price in comparison to RockTape Rockblades it is a steal, however the rock tape rock blade is heavier and slightly more smooth along the massage blade.Most people don't have the luxury to pay over 450 dollars for the rocktape set.In careful and gentle hands this serves its purpose. We use this for spa night. My husband and I give each other massages and this tool is a game changer!! Sore muscles are a thing of the past. I had some swelling in my knee, Dr. says it arthritis. Anyway, there wasn't really any pain associated with it except when I tried to really bend my knee. We started using this tool on spot that needed more work and the swelling is gone. Like completely gone. It's the only thing I've changed, I don't do medicine. Shoulders are feeling better, as a side sleeper they've gotten pretty painful at times. Slightly flat on one sidePros of squarish long bar- edges are smoothed nicely- feels extremely sturdyCons- also not a true beveled edge, one side is flat- will flip in your hand when trying to do deeper scrapping making it difficult to use
