Useful At My Job.
I work as a lowly pathetic security guard and these binoculars are useful when I need to surveil my job site from the guard tower. It’s small and light enough to put in my jacket’s pocket and the zoom function is a welcome. We lowly guards make chump change and I’m grateful that the cost didn’t make me broke. Beware that the view is a bit narrow, especially when you zoom, but I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Possibly missing parts.
Optics seem ok, but I did not receive any lens cover as shown in the description photos.

Excellent binocular
Very light, well made, easy to operate, and bright enough in daylight or early evening and dawn. Excellent value for money.

Affordable but very narrow field of view
I bought these (against the general recommendation) for the zoom functionality. The zoom is pretty awesome for what it is. In the end however, I was forced to return them because the field of view was just way to narrow. Even at minimum magnification you can only see a very small area (narrow field of view) which makes using these extremely uncomfortable - the image is always shaking and finding things is not easy. I compare them to a set of 10x Pentax binoculars in the same style I've had for a while. The Pentax set has a much wider field of view and is really much more comfortable to use. I will miss the high magnification provided with the zoom in this set, but honestly couldn't justify the purchase with all the crazy wobbliness at all zoom levels so back they went. The price was great however and, perhaps for a kid or if you REALLY want high zoom but narrow field of view, these might be okay. Mine came with lens caps for the eye pieces that didn't seem to attach to anything. Perhaps it was missing a piece or a strap to tie them to, I don't know. I can't speak for the optics as I don't have a $200 set to compare against - it was comparable to my Pentax set which is "okay" (colors not particularly vivid). I recommend a fixed magnification or perhaps another zoom set but with a wider field of view.

I checked out this very same binocular at Walmart
After checking out what Walmart had, I shopped around on Amazon and found this at a cheaper price. I'll be field testing at my local rifle and pistol range, but so far no problems with focusing or zooming in and out. Installing the laynard did take me about 15 minutes to figure out...even with my college education. This will probably end up in one of my bug out bags...depending on field test I may get a couple more...looks great so far though.

Good Quality!
While I don’t own any high end binoculars I do have a pair of Bushnell 12x25 compact binoculars that I’m comparing side by side to these Tascos and there is no comparison. The Tasco glass is much brighter, clearer and crisper than the Bushnell, it’s so obvious that it really shows how poor the Bushnells are. Even at 8x the tasco seems stronger than the 12x Bushnell due to its clarity and brightness

Really great compact binoculars.
I had other compact binoculars, but they were made of pretty substantial plastic housing. Although they typically survived being tossed into the car pocket or my travel sack, I liked these Tasco units because the housing was stainless steel. I'm guessing they will survive better, and they work great. The size is just right for my face and eye distances. They focus easily, zoom effort works smoothly and stay focused.

Overall a good product
one of the only problems i had whit these, when you zoom in or out the two eye pieces do not stay in focus so you have to re-focus the one eye, if you leave the zoom alone they work great. clear and compact.
