Best lye to use for making my homemade soaps. I usually buy the 2 lb size but the 1 lb is easier to handle. There are no contaminants and it dissolves quickly and completely. The cheaper brands look dirty to me so I stick with Essential Depot. The more you buy the cheaper they cost. Recommend!

Good quality lye for soap making. I get consistent results batch to batch. I just need to remember not to leave it on the shelf too long, as it looses potency if it’s too old. Otherwise, this brand is my go to for my soaps.

I love this brand of lye for soaping. I have tried a few others and they always seem to clump making it difficult to pour into my weighing container. I have used the 2 lb bottles but this is the first time I have tried the 1 lb bottle. Either size you get, the mouth is narrow enough to help with more controlled pouring and it has never clumped on me. I highly recommend this brand if you are a fellow soaper.

Nothing to like or dislike about this product. I use it for making bar soap, and it does a good job.
