One Year In: Still the Best Bag I've Ever Owned
The media could not be loaded. Photographer, Technologist, Traveler? This Is The Bag That Became My Mobile Office...I've had the MindShift 13 Sling for almost a year, and I can confidently say it's the best bag I've ever owned. No sponsorship, no freebies — just a genuine appreciation for a product that gets it right.I'm a full-time creative technologist, part-owner of a semi-pro soccer club (Real Central NJ), and an amateur sports photographer. I also do headshots and run a business, Polarity, that helps clients generate AI avatars and marketing content. I needed a bag that could flex between all those roles — something more like a mobile office than just a camera bag — and this one nailed it.* The design is deceptively spacious. I still don't understand how it's bigger on the inside, but it fits everything I need:* Sony A7C with Tamron telephoto lens* Extra Samyang lens* XY mic* Mini tripod* Cables, adapters, SD card reader, USB hub* Laptop* Mobile Bluetooth speaker* 3-outlet extension cord + laptop power brick* High-speed power bank* Rain cover (included)* And so much more, all the little things: pens, Tylenol, lens wipes, brush cleaners, glasses, even masks for commutingEvery compartment is smartly designed, with adjustable dividers and tons of organizational pockets. There are also handy external clips and stirrups, which I use to strap on a light jacket or small tripod. Even fully packed, the bag remains comfortable and balanced across my back — I often sling it cross-body and forget it's there. It’s rare to find a product that understands hybrid creative workflows like this. Whether I’m shooting a soccer match, editing in a café, or bouncing between client meetings in NYC or around the country, this bag keeps up.If you're a creative professional, photographer, or just someone who wants thoughtful design and real utility, this is the one.

The millionth bag is the one!
I have tried a lot of camera bags and have a bit of a graveyard of bags that weren’t quite right in the closet. I have a large DSLR, a 70-200, a 100mm macro, and either a 35mm or a 24-105 on me at all times, so a full camera with medium lens on it, another medium lens, and a very large lens (I rock the Sigma 70-200). I don’t use speed lights generally, but could switch one out for a lens spot. That all fits like a dream in the back pocket. I also have a 13” MacBook that slides right in the sleeve in the main pocket and can fit extra cards and batteries in the little zipped area on the inside of the flap for the main compartment. I can also fit a speed light in the front pocket with all my lenses and thin laptop, but could not put it in there with all the other stuff I have in the front pocket, so make of that what you will. I carry my small field book the cords for my MacBook, including charger, external card reader and connection cord for my camera to computer. I can fit my fat little wallet (about the size of a deck of cards) and a canister of mints. I could probably fit more things like pens, sunglasses, my very large phone, etc. In the outside side pocket I put my phone and keys usually. You could put a skinny water bottle, but you have to remember that you are going to slide this thing sideways on your body, so make sure that sucker is sealed. With all that stuff the bag is pretty much stuffed right, but not too tight that I can’t access everything and I don’t struggled to get anything out. The straps for the tripod are very adjustable and sturdy. The whole bag is sturdy. I have not hiked with it all day yet, so I can attest to that. If I think to update this review I will, but it works great to get everything on my person and I can slide it down in front of me and have access to my gear and a place to change my lenses without putting anything down. FINALLY! I really do love this bag and it is my go to now for my Canon setup or if I need to bring my Fuji and my computer at the same time.

It fits a D500 with a 200-500mm attached
I have been looking for a sling bag that would hold my D500 with a 200-500mm f5.6 attached for excursions where I don’t need any other lenses. I wanted lightweight, sturdy and not bulky. This bag fits my gear snugly but there’s room. It fits close to the body and the waist strap holds it in place while riding my bike on trails. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would’ve like to have had more padding on the shoulder strap. I have a fix for that so not really a big deal. This is the bag I’ve been looking for. I hope it lasts a long time. I don’t plan on giving up my gear until someone builds a suitable replacement for this setup in mirrorless.

BEST BAG EVER! SO WORTH THE MONEY!
I am the type of person that likes to try a product a couple times before writing a review. Day 1 I loved this bag, Day 11 and after taking it out on four photo walks, I STILL LOVE IT! This bag is well worth the money. Now I can change lenses and camera on the go. There’s no need to put my camera or lenses down on tables since I can use the comfort of my bag... I’m 62 inches 129lbs and this bag is much bigger than I expected. Not that big is a bad thing. The setup in the photos is a Canon 60D w/ 18-135mm lens attached, Canon 5D Mark IV w/ a 24-70mm f4 attached, 16-35mm f4 and 85mm 1.8 in the bag, 55inch tripod on the outside, lens case, 2 extra batteries, pelican card case, iPad Pro with keyboard... NOT BAD HUH? This is a fairly large setup as I was out for a while but I typically travel lighter... Another setup I did is my trinity: Canon 5D Mark IV 24-70mm attached, 70-200 2.8 IS II, 16-35 f4, and 85 1.8, all in the bag. The bag is exceptional. Satchels hurt my shoulders and backpacks have to be taken off often.CON: There is only two and that is the strap is fairly uncomfortable. It could use some padding for comfortability. Secondly, because of my small frame the bag doesn’t fit quite right. Sure I could downgrade to the smaller size but this bag for me has the ideal room I am looking for.
