Great fenders
Great fenders for mountain bicycles

Functional and cost effective.
For those of you who don’t know, fenders can often be a pain to set up. These were on the easier side as there is only one attachment point for the brackets. It should be noted however that the bolts the kit come with are supposed to fit MOST bikes, not all. I had to get a longer bolt for my front fender due to the fork tubing being bigger. I am running 40c tires, the tire clearance in the back is great, the front however is really close to running the knobs on my gravel tires. Again, fenders are designed to be a fits most product. Specific tire choice and frame fork combo can yield different results. The benefit of these fenders are they accommodate wider tires, but check your frame to make sure they will fit. For daily commuting in the rain they serve their function well. Not being full fenders you will still be sending water up in the air behind you, so if you plan on using these for group rides, especially gravel rides, people may be upset that you blasted them with mud. When it comes to fenders SKS is hard to beat on price/quality ratio. These fenders are good for cheap all weather commuting, where you want to leave the fenders on full time but still want a minimal fender. If you are the type of person who wants to take the fenders off on the weekend when you go for longer rides you may want to look at clip on versions as they are a bit more versatile. If you have a wide road or gravel tire bike and are looking for a good way to keep yourself dry on your daily commute, these will serve that function well.

Wish I had found these years ago.
Great fender. Keeps me dry when the roads are a sloppy mess and it fit under my rear cargo rack with no problem at all.I have a mountain bike with a Topeak rear rack. I looked for a long time to find a fender that would be low profile enough to fit under. I saw this fender on another bike, and knew it would be the perfect fit. It was! Plus they are priced very fairly here. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with stainless hardware too! Since I had disk brakes, I didn't need to compete for space with rim brakes, so I can't comment on fit there. I did have to drill out my front rock shocks just a little to accept the 6mm bolt, but that was easy.Only gripe: the rear bounces around just a little and smacks my rear cargo rack when I go over bumps. There's only about an inch of clearance. I plan to add some sort of fastener to stabilize it from cargo rack. If the rack wasn't there, it wouldn't be an issue. I can't really deduct a star for this though.

Hope they work better than they install...
I just spent the last +/- 1.5 hours installing these onto my bicycle. It was VERY difficult to get the fenders properly situated.Hang too low and they'll drag on the tires; mount them too high and they'll interfere with the brakes. It was extremely difficult to tighten the included nuts onto the bolts, and I'm not sure I have the fenders attached tightly enough, which means it's just a matter of time before the mounting brackets slide down and the fenders start to drag on the tire.I am a bike commuter who rides 4-5 days per week, and we're due for rain this week, so I'll get to see whether they really keep the back of my pants dry... if not, definitely getting returned.--UPDATE: Downgraded from 3 to 1 star. I am completely unsatisfied with this product. I biked to work today. The road is pretty rough, and I ride fast because I'm going downhill and pacing traffic. I must have hit a pothole harder than usual, because when I got to the bottom of the hill, THE BACK FENDER WAS GONE. The bracket was still attached, but the cheap plastic fender was long since smashed on the side of the road. The mounting brackets are completely unacceptable and a total failure in product design. As I noted in my first review, I think what happened is that the mounting brackets did, indeed, come out of the perfect alignment that I had achieved. That could so easily happen if you're riding on a rough road, lifting your bike into or out of a vehicle, mountain biking, basically "real world conditions." With the bracket slightly loosened, every time I went over a bump the fender would wobble and smack into the tire until finally the friction grabbed the fender and ripped it off. That could be dangerous depending on your riding conditions. Fortunately I made it to work just fine.I don't know if Amazon will let me return this product, but I'm going to try. It's the first time I've written a negative review like this. I bought these because they seemed like a basic pair of fenders, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
