Bought this to install a mini split in my mother’s home. I’ve never installed one but my research said it’s better to cut and flair the lines instead of having excess line resting outside the condenser. Use and instruction for easy for me to understand and the install went great. I’ll be using this kit to install a mini split in my garage.

Once again I’ve been sold used goods. There’s no question about it. Whoever had it first left copper pipe pieces on the box. Tool seems ok but I didn’t buy used. I did, however, receive used tool.

Recently had a seperate garage built on and needed to install AC in it. Got a quote from several AC people for around 4k that didnt include the actual unit itself. So I did what any cheap adult does and decided to take matters into my own hands. I got a split system, can of refridgerant, some gauges, and a vacuum pump. Running electrical was really easy, getting the pipe ran was equally easy and so was everyting else. However the crux was the flaring kit I had bought from Lowes that cost twice as much as this didnt leave much of a flare on the copper tubing and was causing a slow leak to happen. This irked me to no end, so I went online and looked for a better solution. Found this beaut and gave it a shot. I recovered all my refrigerant and than cut the copper and reflared it. This mechanism was much much easier to use and make a perfect flare on the pipe. Got it all back together and not a leak at all. Just a perfect running system that cost me 300 dollars in tools and a long afternoon to install. Saved me at least 3k. I am very happy!

The lines ive used on it so far have been flared fine, and there are hardly any marks left from the tool holding it. The bur tool and pipe cutter work as well as any other one out there.

As stated in the headline, item shipped was USED when what I purchased was supposed to be NEW. That's shady AF. Would have given 5 stars otherwise because build quality, ease of use, and perceived durability appear to be top notch. Same thing happened with the pipe bender I ordered. NOT COOL!! Although the return spring on the pipe bender seems to be weak.
