I love the mint smell to the collar!

I did exactly what the directions called for when first introducing it to my dog. After just 2 weeks of my dog wearing this he became very sick, very fast. After a few hours of watching his decline I cut the collar off him. The skin and fur underneath the collar where hot to touch. Unbelievably HOT!! I washed the area immediately with soap and water and started him on Pedalite with a syringe. Of course this happened on the weekend with no vet office being open. It's been off him now about 4 hours and his crying and yelping has stopped. He's eaten a few bites but still no water. It's going to be a long night. I do not recommend this product whatsoever.

I change the collars out every 60 days. I know it says it can last up to 4 months. I'd rather be safe than sorry. They smell good and I feel so much better knowing that I'm not using something that could harm them. They are a bit potent when you first take them out of the packaging. I set them out for a few hours before putting them on the dogs since their noses are much more sensitive to smells than ours.

Have purchased these collars before they work well they are not the same every time some are more brittle and break very easily that happened to be the case with these, so the very first one we tried broke and the second one has worked okay. So we lost money on that one. We have used this company for many years. This is the first time this happened so quickly.

I'm hoping the company reads this as I believe they have a great product but its not long enough for large dogs. I have a 95 lb lab. He is in fantastic shape so not overweight by any means. Just a big powerful, muscular neck. 24" is too tight aroud his neck. 26" would work. Its so tight, that when I took it on and off as per the directions, for the first 2 days, the end broker, rendering it useless. The company was excellent about replacing but I don't like my dog wearing collars that tight so I'll be taking it off at night until I find another all natural brand which is longer. That's a shame. I know its partially about profitability and adding 2" will add cost, but I can't be the only large dog owner who has had this problem. I reached out to your product director on linked in and haven't heard back and the response i received from customer service when I reported the short length was basically, sorry, that''s the size. Your response to the collar breaking was immediate which I appreciate.

Seems to be working great on my basset hound, I will be repurchasing at the end of the month and a second collar for my pomeranian. I did not like all the warning labels that come with original flea collars, and I like the idea of putting something safe and natural onto my dog and not having to worry about her having a negative/harmful reaction to all those chemicals. The collar did smell strongly at first, but it wasn't a bad smell. My dog seemed to like it also, I think she felt special getting a new collar.Update 07/03/16Worked great the entire 3 months on my basset hound. I used in addition to a natural flea/tick spray for dogs/cats. My dog liked the color and it stayed on her securely. I only didn't re-order it this time because I thought the shipping was too much (got free prime shipping last time) and I was able to try another product at a discounted price. I wish that the free shipping would come back! I live in Idaho next to the foothills and it worked great. I will say that I did not take her into the mountains or hills, but I do live very close by, appeared to work good for just going outside to use the potty/on walks in the neighborhood. I would like to try it on my Pomeranian with his long hair and see how it works.

We're trying it one more time as it comes highly recommended... but while it worked great for a month and change it didn't work more than five weeks for us. Maybe ours was a dud or got wet or something. We'll see.

I have four Miniature American Eskimos, which are long haired and double coated. I have used this product for years and have not seen a flea or tick on any of my dogs, while using this product. They are in my yard at will (doggy door) and we go to walk the greenway and some trails in TN. I have come home with Ticks on me... go figure, but never on my dogs. I should probably wear one on me, when I go out. LoL!
