Does the job well
The media could not be loaded. Pros:Does the job well• No signs of any leaks or condensation, even when used in the hot tub. Note the intended use of this product is to view above and below water simultaneously, not for deep sea dives.Flexible options• Use with or without the dome port as unit comes with a detachable floatie handle• Use with or without pistol trigger (using the trigger allows for one-handed operation, but obstructs the LCD display. Without the trigger, you can see the display, but one-handed shutter operation is a bit more challenging. You’ll likely need to use your other hand)Included accessories are a plus• Comes with a floatie handle (screw on/off cap allows for storage)• Includes a lanyard/strap, a wrench to disassemble the dome and clean gaskets, etc.• Microfiber cleaning cloth• Anti-fog inserts• Protective cloth dome coverCons:• Plastics could be a little more sturdy. The dome and backing seem a little fragile. I wouldn’t trust this thing if it were to be accidentally dropped onto a hard surface so take great care! I also wouldn’t try going too deep underwater, but since the point of a dome is to see above and below the water line simultaneously, it’s not built for that. Also, the soft(ish) plastic made me scared to hand tighten the screws that secure the handle to the dome unit. As a result, there was a slight give when squeezing the pistol/shuttle trigger.• Slight concern with the design of the buttons built into the camera housing unit. This is where the outside button of the unit contacts the GoPro shutter and mode buttons inside the housing. My concern is that they look like metal pins and eventually may puncture the rubber exterior of the GoPro buttons. However, upon inspection, the my camera buttons were unharmed. It seems with prolonged use, there is a risk of the rubber being punctured, but that’s just me.Ratings:Build quality & design: 3/5 as mentioned, plastics seem a little fragile. Using the supplied hand screw to attach both the floatie and pistol trigger, I noticed a little stripping of the plastic hinges. Part of this is my fault as I should have done a better job of aligning the holes before inserting the screw, but there were very small pieces of plastic that came off as a result. I think higher quality plastic will not do this as easily. There’s a certain “softness” to the plastic, but overall not too bad.Value: 4/5 I like the different options this product provides. As mentioned the included floatie handle lets you use it with or without the dome. Adding or removing the pistol trigger also has its pros and cons.Overall: 3.5/5The Verdict:Despite my 3.5 rating (I would round it up to 4), I’m actually pretty impressed with the product. It did what I expected it to do, and I also found the options to be very flexible. I certainly think there is room to improve with the build quality, but it did not fail me during my test.Note, while this is a very cool product for any GoPro Hero 5,6,7 Black owner to have, it’s still has a very specific purpose, therefore this is a good product to have for the purpose of taking shots above and below water simultaneously. If you’re looking to shoot strictly underwater, the GoPro Hero 5,6,7 is already waterproof up to 33 feet and there isn’t much difference with shooting underwater with or without a dome.Another thing to consider….due to the dome design, it’s much more bulky and would likely need it’s own storage apart from your other GoPro accessories. This is where the included dome cover comes in handy. However, if you’re into water photography, this is definitely something that will take your GoPro game to another level. My overall rating for this product, factoring my experience with the seller is a 5 as they are very responsive to any questions or concerns.

We used this on a trip and it was great. The picture quality was good and no issues with leaking. Easy to hold handle and wrist strap.

Solid But Flawed
I purchased this when getting into split shot photography and video with my GoPro.This is a surprisingly solid in terms of materials and construction. It feels solidly built and I can attest to the waterproof quality. No water was allowed into the area housing the GoPro. It seems tricky to use and assemble at first but once assembled it is easy to pop in and pop out the camera. My only issues are with the condensation that forms in the dome from cold water and hot air. This isn’t due to the item but rather the environment. Due to the dome being mostly inaccessible, it is almost impossible to wipe off the fog inside while on the water. My only other issue is it does make the shots come out darker, since the light is having to penetrate an additional layer of plastic. This is common with many lens and camera attachments. Many of my “freehand” shots I took were perfect where the shots taken with this were on the darker side. Tiny water droplets can also mess up an otherwise nice shot, although you may be able to coat the dome in some kind of hydrophobic material or solution (rainex) to prevent the drops of water. Water droplets won’t affect underwater shots, just the 50/50 split shot style photos and video.Overall this is a solidly built GoPro accessory and can be helpful in very clear water on very sunny days. It is definitely not an everyday use item but I would still recommend it to anyone messing around with split shots or underwater photography.

Better than more expensive domes!
I've been waiting for a reasonably priced dome for my GoPro 7 and I finally found it! I have the Telesin 3 battery charger kit and have been extremely pleased with it so decided to try some of their other products, which is how I found their dome.I bought this mostly to take above/below or 50/50 shots as the 7 is already waterproof. I can't say enough good things about the dome. It has a perfect seal both along the dome periphery as well as where the camera is housed in the back. The cut out section of the dome is a perfect fit for the lens to slide into and the camera housing itself is constructed well with power and photo buttons on the top and side. Overall the entire dome, handle, and optional photo-trigger mechanism are extremely well made. It feels like a quality product when you are holding it.The dome itself is super clear and comes with a plastic film protecting it. It also comes with a protective cover that fits the dome perfectly when not in use. I feel comfortable placing the dome in my pack with the cover on knowing that it is well protected. The included trigger mechanism is pretty slick. By pulling back on the trigger you can easily snap a picture with one hand. Without the trigger, it becomes a two hand job to take a picture. The trigger mechanism is mounted on the handle and also to the dome. There are two included bolts to help secure everything in place. You can use the dome with or without the trigger, it just becomes a two hand job as I mentioned earlier.Lastly, the handle is awesome. It floats, it can store stuff, and includes a screw mount on the bottom so that you could mount to something. It has a rubbery grip and fits nicely in my hand. I don't have any worries about it slipping and the included wrist strap is a nice touch. With my Prime membership, I received this product in two days which was super quick. All in all, I couldn't be happier. It's a well made product and works great.
